• USAA: Stop being malicious to a disabled veteran!
USAA claims to help and support military personnel and veterans. Yet after making a mistake that cost a disabled veteran $2500, they refuse to take responsibility for it and have hired a multi-million dollar law firm to prevent the veteran's recovery of his disability income.

  • Change.org: Stop Supporting Union-Busters
I'm a public school teacher who has taught high school history for nine years in Chicago. Because of broad public support and overwhelming unity among teachers, I'm truly hopeful that we can achieve real gains for kids and teachers through our current contract negotiation--including adequate funding for art and music, school nurses, counselors, playgrounds, and libraries. That's why I was dismayed to learn that, in the middle of this delicate but honest negotiation, the social action website Change.org is taking money to promote a campaign attacking Chicago's public school teachers by a conservative anti-union organization. In any negotiation, it's essential to have trust and good-will on both sides. This kind of tired, old teacher-bashing by ideological conservatives only makes things more difficult, and I wish Change.org would stop taking money to promote it. Ninety-eight of our Chicago schools don't have playgrounds, and 160 schools don't have libraries at all. Forty percent of our schools do not have full time art and music programs. These are some of the important issues that teachers would like to discuss at the bargaining table not just to improve working conditions for teachers but to ensure that our students receive the education they deserve. As a teacher, I'm so proud to be on the right side of this fight, but it's disheartening to find teachers once again under attack by knee-jerk teacher-bashers. In this case, the attacks are coming from the anti-labor group Stand for Children, whose former leader Jonah Edelman recently bragged on video about how he was nearly able to "dupe" politicians into ending collective bargaining rights for Chicago teachers. By taking money to promote this anti-union campaign, Change.org is turning their backs on teachers and endangering our efforts to provide a world-class education to our children. The teachers of Chicago deserve a public apology from Change.org and assurances that you won't again promote conservative groups who oppose collective bargaining rights for teachers or other unions.

  • Employment at will
The employment at will law which covers most people in this country allows a company to fire an employee without cause. This is a corruption of the implied contract implicit in all jobs. Anybody care?

  • Governor Kitzhaber: "Stand with us to overturn Citizens United".
Our government is under attack by corporate money, and Citizens United gives corporations more power in government. As super PACs grow, money continues to represent speech, allowing corporations to influence Washington more than our own citizens. We need your support on a constitutional amendment to get money out of politics.

  • Stop the Right-Wing Attack on Eric Holder
Attorney General Eric Holder is currently under a vicious attack from right-wing extremists simply for enforcing our laws. These extremists our attacking the very fabric of what democracy is all about and they must be held accountable. It's bad enough to have these Un-American Extremists attacking our president and attorney general for their personal reasons but they are also attacking the offices of these great leaders.

  • Stop the Protection of Foreign Businesses That Act Against American Communities
The Obama administration is secretly negotiating a trade pact with Pacific Ocean trading partners, the "Trans Pacific Partnership" (TPP). The TTP pact will limit how US governments at all levels can regulate foreign firms in the USA, extend incentives for American firms to move abroad, allow foreign firms to sue the US government in international tribunals, and allow foreign firms to demand compensation for the costs of complying with American financial and environmental regulations. This will increase the power of big business in America to even greater heights. • Veterans (IRRR)
This Veterans refinance program is not suppose to request credit score for approval of this! Chase and First merit and other mortgage companies are still requiring your credit score, even though this program specifically for VETERANS states that a credit score will not be needed. The banks already messed up veterans credit scores by the actions that were previously reprimanded, such as charging active duty personnel more interest than they were allowed to by Law.

  • Tell Wall Street: Stop the J.P. Morgan Loophole
Bankers on Wall Street wrecked our economy by taking reckless risks in pursuit of massive paydays. And, as J.P. Morgan has made clear, Wall Street learned nothing and is still gambling. There's nothing wrong with high-risk trading, but if the bets go bad, only the people who made the bets should have to pay. That's why this gambling should happen in hedge funds, not in the federally-insured banks that families and small businesses depend on. That’s why I successfully fought, with your help, for a ban on high-risk trading by big Wall Street banks. This rule, called the Volcker rule firewall, is meant to ensure that Wall Street’s bad bets blow up, you and I don’t get burned again. But for the last two years, Wall Street's legion of lobbyists have been trying to blow holes in that firewall. Now they want the Fed to write the “J.P. Morgan loophole” into law. We can’t let that happen. Join me in urging Ben Bernanke and the Fed to close down the JP Morgan loophole. Senator Jeff Merkley

This is so dam wrong for our leader on both side of the isle to allow this to happen to the american people.
