• Don't take public transit off the iphone
Apple will be releasing their own map app on their upcoming operating system, and no longer using google maps. Public transit has been removed. They say they're leaving that up to third parties now. Many people can't afford cars, or want to help the environment, and others like me can't drive due to a disability. I've relied heavily on my iphone and google maps access to public transit data. I don't think its right that apple has taken away that functionality with their own map. if you agree sign my petition asking apple to reconsider and include public transit directly in their map app.

  • Amend Constitution To Overrule Citizens United
The U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United gives corporations the power to act as citizens, and to donate unlimited resources to defeat the will of the people. It is the worst decision of that court during my lifetime, and I'm an 81 year old lawyer.

  • Walmart asked to Sell American made Products
My petition is about forcing big stores to return to selling more Made in the USA products and less foreign made stuff.A lot of what we have to buy now is inferior quality and looks cheap.By requesting this change in business practices,it would be necessary to get factories up and running so Walmart would be the forerunner in getting the American people back to work..I am tired of not being able to find a SINGLE item in the store that is made in the USA.No wonder we are in such deep trouble.

  • Say "NO" to Wal-Mart
Wal-Mart has contacted the City of Bella Vista, Arkansas in an effort to put a Wal-Mart in Bella Vista. The sight for this would be accross the street from Allens Foods which has been in business for 13 years. Wal-Mart has already put many privately owned businesses out of business here in Northwest Arkansas.

  • Governor Scott Walker Buys Back His Office
I live in Wisconsin and was part of the Recall Walker campaign, which failed in large part because Governor Walker bought his votes with huge amounts of corporate money; he outspent Mayor Barrett 8-1 (much of his money from out of state). It has come to the point where money can speak louder than citizens. Where will this end? Will we now have our politicians bought by Big Companies instead of elected by citizens? We need to stop large corporations and personally wealthy individuals from being able to finance candidates who support their agenda, or the individual vote will become useless.

  • Recall Citizens United
The Supreme Court passed laws regarding money, big corporations, and election contributions that are extremely detrimental to the future of our country and our constitution. If enough people sign the petition, hopefully we can convince the Supreme court to reverse their position.

  • Reverse Citizens United
This ruling by the Supreme Court has given the voting process over to the 1% who own the major corporations and funnel money to the candidate and cause of their choice. Public funding is the answer to this problem

  • Repeal of Citizens United
Repeal of Citizens United is absolutely vital to sustain a true democracy in the United States. The ability of those wealthy few powerful sources to BUY elections in any sector of the government without complete transparency, whether local, state or national, is not consistent with democratic rule.

  • Nevada State Athletic Commission - Fix The Incompetence & Corruption That Plagues Boxing -Pacqui...
The judges scorecards in the bout between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley on 06/09/12 were a complete travesty. We are calling on the Nevada State Athletic Commission to open an investigation into this obvious mockery and blatant degradation of the sport of boxing. A separate unbiased sanctioning legislative body must be created to protect the boxers and the sport itself. Boxing is the only sport where shenanigans such as last nights decisions can go unregulated and without recourse. With boxing being the largest sport economic source of revenue for Nevada, we the people urge the Nevada State Athletic Commission delve into the realm of corruption and incompetence in boxing before people like myself stop paying $54.95 for a PPV fight and/or spend thousands of dollars to travel and watch in person. The years of righteousness and reverence of boxing are over. The mystique and awe that used to come with watching boxing are over. Until there is change and accountability, let it be known - Nevada State Athletic Commission, HBO PPV and to anyone else to which it may concern; With respect, we refuse to pay for any future boxing endeavors. Make your voice heard! Sign and pass along this petition. It will be sent to the Nevada Athletic Commission 555 E. Washington Ave. Suite 3200 Las Vegas, NV 89101

  • Monsanto: Cease Opposition to Labeling Genetically Modified Organisms
In my opinion this petition goes to the core of this democracy: the people's right to know. In this case something as basic as what is in their food. Genetically modified foods (GMOs) are currently exempt from labeling. Over forty countries require labeling of GMOs. Non-labeling represents one more example of the dominance of corporate money and influence (in this case Big Ag) over the basic principles of this democracy: freedom of information, the people's right to know and non-censorship of information. In November, Californians will have the opportunity to vote on a ballot initiative requiring GMO labeling. In addition, several state legislatures have recently moved towards introducing legislation to require labeling (Vermont and Connecticut did so in the past two months). In all cases Big Ag has forcefully squashed such moves, and in the case of state legislatures has thwarted legislation. Polls show 90% of the people want GMOs labeled. Monsanto, which has a woeful decades-long record of aggressive and bullying behavior (some of which has been documented in a number of books and films), is the chief player.
