  • Verizon: We Need A Second Cell Tower
    We, the people of Priest Lake, have cellular service so inadequate as to render phone calls unreliable from April through October, and virtually unusable data. People have been unable to call 911, which poses a risk to both residents and tourists. We are resolved that this situation needs to be rectified by placing a second cell tower in the area in order to provide bandwidth sufficient to meet the needs of Verizon customers and provide the service we pay for.

  • National Grid Gas or Private Oil Companies, Wouldn't you like to have the option?
    Currently, the majority of neighborhoods within the town of Brookhaven do not have an option of choosing gas for heating/cooking/cooling our homes due to the lack of pipes laid underground. The cost of both options (gas or oil) is rising, however, the cost to heat/cook/cook in our homes is by far more expensive with oil as opposed to gas. Why continue to worry about running out of oil in the middle of a blizzard when having your home heated by National Grid is more stable? The HOA board has failed to meet contractual obligations of maintaining the gates. Votes and other issues have been mishandled by both the HOA board and the management company, which is owned and operated by a fellow community member who has an obvious dual relationship and conflict of interest.

    Our community residents have experienced break-ins from outside locals. Unfortunately, our gates are constantly broken which allows non-residents to enter at any time. We have had a large number of car break-ins in the last month, and we want management to either install a boom barrier to allow only one car at the time.

  • Providence Alaska Parking Garage safety and Security
    There is a public safety issue in the parking garages at Providence Alaska Medical Center. I have coworkers that have had their vehicles broken into THREE TIMES. My own car has been broken into just to see what was in the glove box. I have seen people breaking into cars and am scared to walk to my vehicle. We are the people inside caring for your loved ones, and our cries for help are not being heard. We need more secure parking for our employees, patients, and patient families.
