We elect people to go into state and federal government to represent us and our interests. They don't! Too many of our elected representatives act in the interest of corporate America, whose self interest is international, We are finally holding our elected officials accountable. We are watching. It's them-- the corporations or us-- the people. Stand up for the American people or we will act at the polls! We have had enough!

At its core, the Right to Repair is a consumer rights movement fighting for a simple principle: if you bought it, you own it, and you should have the freedom to fix it yourself or choose who fixes it for you. Over the last decade, manufacturers of everything from smartphones and tractors to cars and gaming consoles have deliberately made their products harder to repair. They do this by gluing components shut, using rare security screws, and—most commonly—using proprietary software locks to block anyone who isn't an "authorized" dealer. The Right to Repair is vital for four major reasons: 1. Breaking Up Monopolies and Lowering Costs When a manufacturer completely locks down diagnostic software and parts, they create a legal monopoly. If you are forced to go to an authorized dealership or Apple Store for every single fix, the manufacturer can charge whatever they want.  The Dealership Premium: Independent mechanics and electronics repair shops regularly charge 40% to 60% less for labor than corporate dealerships.  The "Just Buy a New One" Tactic: Dealerships and factory repair centers often quote ridiculously high repair prices for minor fixes to manipulate you into throwing away the item and buying a brand-new model instead. 2. Supporting Local Small Businesses Local repair shops, independent mechanics, and neighborhood tech-fix stores are the backbone of local economies. When manufacturers lock out anyone who doesn't pay a massive corporate licensing fee to become "authorized," they actively force small business owners out of work. Right to repair laws ensure that your local mechanic can access the exact same diagnostic codes and repair data that the massive corporate dealership down the road uses. 3. Reducing Environmental Waste (E-Waste) We are living in a disposable tech economy. When a manufacturer makes it impossible to swap out a degraded $30 battery or a worn-out $50 gear, the entire $1,000 device or machine gets thrown into a landfill.  Restricting repair leads to millions of tons of e-waste (electronic waste) globally every year.  It also forces the continuous mining of rare earth metals to build unnecessary replacement devices, causing massive carbon emissions. 4. Supply Chain and Emergency Resilience When things break down in critical industries—like agriculture, medical care, or commercial trucking—waiting weeks for an "authorized" corporate technician to travel out with a proprietary laptop can be catastrophic.  Farmers have famously had their entire harvests put at risk because a John Deere tractor threw a minor sensor code that required a corporate software unlock, even though the farmer was perfectly capable of replacing the physical sensor themselves.  Hospitals faced massive crises during the pandemic when proprietary software restrictions prevented their own in-house biomedical engineers from quickly fixing broken ventilators.

Our generational freedoms, rights. liberties, and justices to stand against the crimes against humanity.

We need to protect ourselves and families along with other drivers on the road that this could impact. Ford is clearly putting their pocket book above the value of lives.

When just a few corporations dominate the system, they gain enormous power over prices and quality of care, and everyday people are left with fewer choices, worse care, and higher bills.   Members of Congress in both chambers are taking stock too—recognizing how these health care giants are making it nearly impossible for everyday people to access health care.  Just last week, Senator Elizabeth Warren introduced legislation to break up “Big Medicine”—conglomerates that have grown too large and too powerful. And last month, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called out CVS Health’s CEO over its health care monopoly in an explosive viral hearing. That’s why we need as many people as possible urging Congress to rein in Big Medicine and Big Pharma. Immigrants built this country and contribute to it today in countless ways. Noem's trumpeting of Trump Administration propaganda injures us all. Her poisonous message should not be broadcast in the Bay Area.

Our rights as citizens are being violated. Freedom of speech, due process, healthcare are all in the chopping block. Demand that those who profess they are defenders of democracy to take a stand!

These actions are a threat to our democracy and ultimately to our way of life. 

The Harder Hall historic property was documented as sold to Robert Blackmon and several corporate entities on August 30, 2022. A proposal to transfer management and ultimately, ownership of the Sebring Municipal Golf Course and Caddyshack restaurant was presented by Robert Blackmon and an attorney on March 18, 2025. In April of 2022, prior to completion of sale of the hotel, it is Mr. Blackmon’s assertion that in April of 2022 he had received assurances from city officials that “no one saw any issues with the idea” of this transfer. If city officials were aware of an offer on the table, why then did they expend city funds on improving a course they had intended to gift to corporate entities, furthering a loss of funds to the city? City facilities are not in the business of accruing a profit, but are there to serve the people of the city and county, which it has done for quite a while. It would be good for it to remain that way.

Drivers pay for their own cars, maintenance, gas/electric, and healthcare. We deserve to make more than $20 an hour before deductions.

LGBTQ+ people, people of color and women are core customers of Brown-Forman. Yet their leadership has said it's going to abandon DEI goals and plans for employees AND suppliers, cut diversity training and more. They won't even participate in a SURVEY about equality their workplace. In other words, they want to take our money and give nothing back. Our communities must stop drinking from this company until its CEO Lawson Whiting and Chair resigns and this company brings back its DEI efforts.
