• Save children and teachers lives, start 2021 classes online
The medical community has concluded that SARS-CoV-2 transmission in the community is correlated with the amount of infections in schools. When community rates of COVID-19 are high, there is an increased likelihood that SARS-CoV-2 will be introduced to, and potentially transmitted within, a school setting. Please sign our petition to keep our teachers and children safe from the pandemic.

  • Mask Up Palm Beach County School Kids
This is so key to keeping our children safe in the schools this coming year and in the future due to the fact that the delta variant is raging the country at a rapid rate and masks keep us safe. As a parent of two wonderful children, I want to keep them safe and I would do anything, and many other parents would do the same. Keeping our kids safe is so key because they are the future of this very world. Please contact your friends and family that live in Palm Beach County and encourage them to support our petition. Also, while we were doing our petition, we saw that a school in Atlanta that was only one week into school had 100 kids in isolation, and 9 COVID-19 cases, with 8th & 6th grade classes going virtual for the time being, this is why masks are needed due to the fact that children are in school for 6-8 hours per day. It would be very negligent to not have masks in schools because children are there for a very long time and they would make the spread of COVID-19 easier. It is only going to get worse, last year schools only had about 50% of their students in-person, now with 100%, it will only make a potential outbreak worse, our children depend on us and the schools to keep them safe and we cannot let them down.

  • Restore Press Freedom!
Today the entire mainstream media is owned by only FIVE corporations, all of which are run by people who are invested in weapons and war. The result is a media that always starts with a pro-interventionist position and is staffed by former intelligence officials and generals that protect the government narrative instead of the truth. Additionally, it is extremely rare for mainstream media outlets to have on opposing viewpoints, especially from the left, to have debates and discussions. We need a return to fairness, truth and civil debate.

  • Implement Teaching About Consent and Sexual Violence In The Education System
Spreading awareness about sexual violence and teaching children about consent from a young age is important because it is simply not talked about enough. As stated before, 75% of people become a victim before the young age of 18. Many do not realize what has happened to them until years later because the topic is never discussed and is treated as taboo.

  • Congress: Make school buses electric!
Did you know that tens of millions of kids breathe polluted air every day on their way to school? It’s true – and it’s because their school buses run highly-polluting diesel fuel. And we know air pollution can cause major health problems for children! Now, a new bill has been introduced in Congress that would replace these dirty diesel buses with clean electric buses. If passed, it would help protect kids from air pollution AND help fight climate change. The Clean School Bus Act would make major investments in replacing the nation’s fleet of diesel school buses with zero-emission electric buses. Even better, it would prioritize low-income school districts for funding.

  • Stop the disproportionate punishment of Black girls in schools
Black girls are suspended from school SIX TIMES more often than white girls. It’s deeply unfair. Now, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley is fighting back with a new bill that seeks to end the disproportionate punishment of girls of color in schools. Rep. Pressley’s Ending PUSHOUT Act would provide extra funding to schools that ban unfair and discriminatory school discipline practices, and create a task force to study the problem. It’s a huge step toward ensuring that our schools are safe and fair learning environments for ALL kids. As Rep. Pressley said when she introduced the bill, “our schools should be spaces for learning and growth, but for far too many Black and brown girls, interactions with racist dress code policies and law enforcement in our schools define their experience.”

  • Stop forcing teachers to lie about racism.
Since the Black Lives Matter protests erupted last summer, we’ve been in the midst of a national moment of reckoning around our painful history of racial exclusion. This has been driven in paet by brave young people asking tough questions and speaking out for justice. But in Republican-led states across the country, Legislatures have been responding by trying to ban teachers and students from even having the conversation. New laws, and bills under consideration in states like Idaho, Texas and Oklahoma would ban teachers from teaching about current events like Black Lives Matter, or even talking about systemic racism. Kids should be learning to think critically in school - and to understand the full history of our country, even the painful parts. And our politicians should be focused on helping students and teachers who are still struggling with fallout from COVID--rather than punishing teachers for speaking the truth.

  • END THE FILIBUSTER
"Whether you are a fan of Star Trek or not the following has universal appeal to all. "A dream that became a reality and spread throughout the stars." – James T. Kirk, 2269 (TOS - "Whom Gods Destroy") "The United Federation of Planets was a supranational interstellar union of multiple planetary nation-states that operated semi-autonomously under a single central government, founded on the principles of liberty, equality, peace, justice, and progress, with the purpose of furthering the universal rights of all sentient life. Federation members exchange knowledge and resources to facilitate peaceful cooperation, scientific development, space exploration, and MUTUAL DEFENSE."** I've emphasized "Mutual Defense" because its important! While an obvious interpretation is "military defense", it also means Mutual Defense of Morals, Mutual Defense as in Care of Each Other. The US Senate are the rare few who are given the honor and duty of representing us all. But Minority Leader McConnell has vowed to put all of his efforts into blocking Democratic legislations to help all of us. We need to pass the President's Infrastructure Bill, the country needs roads, bridges, transportation, Broadband Internet, and We Need Clean Water. We need to Pass the For the People to help protect us from malicious voter suppression bills that are being passed by State Legislatures in multiple states. We need to have a commission to investigate the seditious attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6th, who are the Republican's trying to protect? We also need to Pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, The John Lewis Act, The Equality Act, The Pro Act, The Breathe Act, American Jobs Plan, American Families Plan, and Washington DC (our nation's great Capitol, is home to 712,000 people that are taxed hire per capita than any other state) should 100 percent be a state! We need common sense gun control like Mandatory Background Checks. We need the multiple Immigration Acts to Pass, We must raise taxes for the wealthiest one percent, they must pay their fair share, TAX THE RICH, We need NON-TRUMP JUDGES and damn it WE DIRELY NEED CLIMATE CARE!! WE NEED ALL THE THINGS NOW! WE CAN'T HAVE ANY OF THE THINGS WITHOUT ENDING THE FILIBUSTER! The Conservative Dems like Joe Manchin (WV) and Kristen Sinema (AZ) have said they want bi-partisanship. We have tried this to no avail. The Republican Senators do not represent the majority of the country, they do not speak for all of us, and they do not even speak for their constituents they claim to be speaking for. These policies are overwhelmingly popular with over 80 percent of the country's population. Enough is Enough. The Filibuster was established to protect Systematic Racism, and it continues to be in the way of changing that racist system. We need all of our Democratic Senators to ABOLISH THE FILIBUSTER NOW because WE NEED ALL THE THINGS NOW!! **(c/o https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/United_Federation_of_Planets)

  • Increased Education on Race, Prejudice, and Privilege in schools
The African diaspora is an essential part of the curriculum in school . It allows kids to express themselves and discuss critical themes such as racism and a variety of other difficulties. Suny African diaspora educates children on vital issues in such a way that pupils learn and grow as individuals, as well as educate themselves and the rest of the world so that history doesn't repeat itself .Students must also be educated and informed about racism, prejudice, and privilege. To do this, we suggest that schools should integrate racial problems education into academic curricula, provide online training modules on racial prejudice, and improve the diversity education provided in orientation materials. To demonstrate that we support the African-American community, particularly in light of the racial injustices that have happened across the country during this period of civil unrest.
