Fire John Engler Now!In light of his previous attempts to silence survivors at MSU Board meetings and his inappropriate remarks in private conversations reported by survivors, this latest revelation clearly establishes a pattern of Engler’s unacceptable conduct and utter contempt for the survivors and their allies. Mr. Engler’s abhorrent remarks are the last straw for many people who love MSU and want to see the university move forward with real institutional and cultural reforms that protect students and create a safe environment for learning. None of that can happen when the leader of the institution repeatedly demonstrates that he is unfit for the job due to his bullying demeanor and insulting remarks toward the survivors. The MSU Board of Trustees must replace Interim President John Engler immediate so this fine university can finally turn the page on this chapter of its history.284 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Teri Lyn Bernero

Fight Against Dress CodeDress codes often unfairly target females more than males. For example, within the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs' Pre-Collegiate Summer Academic Institute the code of conduct states, "Items that should not be worn are: beachwear, sleeveless blouses or shirts, crop tops, clothing showing midriffs, and spaghetti straps" (UCCS, S.A.I 2018, program expectations). These clothing items are directly targeting female students. The program/ schools tell us that it is a distraction towards other student's education! In reality, our education is disrupted when they dress-code us and make us feel ashamed, which ultimately pulls us away from our education. It is for this reason that we feel that the program/ schools should reexamine the dress code and the enforcement of it.22 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karissa Vigil

School Bus Service within St Johns Forest CommunityIn response to the recent letter that bus service will be removed for the 2018-2019 school year due to the newly constructed walk zone to LPA: The members of the community feel this walk zone to be hazardous due to its proximity to a major highway 9B, the unsecured pond/wooded area that lines the walk zone, as well as the neglectful nature of allowing young children to walk unsupervised twice daily. The 2 mile analysis that was done is in fact invalid as the only pedestrian entry is at the front of the neighborhood (SJF Blvd/CR 210). The back gate on St Johns pkwy is in fact a restricted access gate which cannot be considered a pedestrian entry (children younger than 15 cannot have access to enter this gate). School bus service needs to be reinstated for the upcoming school year to ensure safety of our children.1,011 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Ashley L. Johnson

Educational FundingThis petition is one that asks for educational improvement. To achieve this in our town we need more financial support than we are currently receiving. The money for this funding, however, should not have to come at the cost of jobs, or an increase in taxes. Rather, this petition asks for a re-evaluation of how money is spent, and a re-distribution of misused money to benefit our education.28 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Melo

Dartmouth Student Advocacy: Marissa EvansOn the poster presentation day for the neuroscience department, I was sick with a 100-degree fever, chills, sweats, etc. I made my advisors aware of the situation and was reassured to "feel better and do not worry about it" and "do my best". Within the week between my defense and the due date for the printed thesis, my second advisor did not respond to my e-mails (upward of 15 now). Since I was unable to obtain his signature and I was sick for the poster session, my thesis was failed. I met with the committee to explain the circumstances. They agreed to pass my honors thesis on the contingency that I accept such a low grade that my GPA drop over .5, jeopardizing my plans to attend medical school. This penalization has yet to be justified. If I take an "independent study" however, my work will receive an A-.201 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Marissa

Investigate Betsy DeVos for Civil Rights Violations, Corruption, and Student Loan Abuses.Education Secretary Betsy DeVos must be investigated for: CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS - Betsy DeVos ordered the Office of Civil Rights to dismiss thousands of cases that were backlogged and rolled back Title IX rules that have a major impact on women and LGBTQ students. CORRUPTION - Betsy DeVos dismantled the unit that investigates fraud at for-profit colleges just weeks after hiring former for-profit college officials to sit in top positions at the Department of Education. ILLEGALLY DELAYED LOAN FORGIVENESS - Betsy DeVos intentionally delayed debt relief for students defrauded by shutdown for-profit schools. The Inspector General urged the Department to move on a backlog of debt relief claims, but many people are still waiting for their applications to be reviewed. CONFLICT OF INTEREST - Betsy DeVos used the Department to award a multi-million dollar student loan debt collection contract to a private company with financial ties to DeVos. The contract was canceled after growing pressure. Make no mistake, this isn’t the only investigation that matters. The Inspector General has been called to investigate the Education Department for illegally using Americans’ financial data. Auditors are also looking into misuse of tax dollars by Scott Pruitt, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency. In fact, Inspectors General are currently investigating at least five cabinet officials for ethics violations. Abuse of power, in any form, cannot be ignored. The Inspector General must perform a thorough review of Betsy DeVos’ internal emails, policy documents, meeting agendas, guest lists, and more. No one is above the law. Now is the time to investigate Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.11,122 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by StudentDebtCrisis.org

Decorating Graduation CapsRecently we have found out that we are not allowed to decorate the graduation caps, which we are required to buy and own after graduation. However, in many schools, these decorations can serve as a representation of individuality and personal perseverance. Help the graduating class of 2018, along with future classes, earn the privilege of decorating the top of our caps.254 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Selena
