Mental health education is not mandatory in Florida schools in spite of the well- documented need. Educating our youth on facts and behaviors will encourage open discussion and promote a greater understanding of mental health.

Our public sector workers are among the most dedicated in the nation, but they are among the worst paid in the nation. South Carolinians deserve the best, so we support raising their salaries to at least the national average for their positions.

We cannot believe any truthfully informed Governing Board would take such an action for the following reasons: 1. Since Ricardo Garcia took over the coaching position the record of our school wrestling program has improved exponentially. Three years ago, the team had one win with 5 losses in league and was 36th in the Central Coast Section Championships. The last two years the team has finished with 5 wins and one loss in league. In the CCS, the team has finished top 7 in the section. 2. Mr. Garcia has shown organizational skills unmatched by others. For example, he has created a club that sends our young wrestlers to other countries for cultural exchanges programs. In 2016, the LG Wrestling Club visited Santiago, Cuba. In 2017, the club traveled to Guadalajara, México. This summer 2018, the club will be traveling to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. Over the last three years, over 50 LG Wrestling Club members have traveled abroad on exchange teams through these programs. 3. He has created procedures and safeguards for our wrestlers that are unmatched by other schools. He organized a binder with safety data sheets that provide vital information with all the chemicals that are used in the wrestling room. In addition, he prepared a sanitation log that required staff members to sign and document each time the room was used and properly cleaned for the next group of wrestlers. 4. He has the respect of all the wrestling coaches in our district. The coaches at Wilcox, Fremont, Milpitas, Gunn, to name a few. 5. He has national and international wrestling experience at the highest levels that give our students the best chance for success. He was a Junior College All American Wrestler, competed in the 1994 NCAA Div. I Wrestling Finals, represented México in the 1990 World Championships, finished 4th in the Pan American Championships nearly qualifying for the 2000 Olympics. Over the last ten years, he has traveled with over 250wrestlers to the following countries: México, Spain, Perú, Japan, Cuba, and Ecuador. 6. We believe that Mr. Perrotti has removed Mr. Garcia to bring in another wrestling coach from outside the district because a few rich people want the coach of their choice. That is Greg Varella the former coach at Gilroy High School. 7. While our culture worships money, we believe that allowing this to happen sends the wrong message to our students regarding honor, hard work and integrity. 8. We are outraged that this had been done in secret and behind closed doors. Coach Garcia deserves better.

The Red for Ed movement is threatening another walk out on our children. We do not support this! Using the children as pawns in this agenda is crossing the line and we support other methods that don't directly hurt the children's education.

Please encourage our elected officials to stop the testing wars. We need highly qualified teachers teaching and enriched curriculum, not stressed-out teachers teaching to the test.

We need to change the menu. Our country is sadly the #1 country with the highest obesity rates, estimated at 160 million Americans being overweight. The outcome of the public schools' foods has been deteriorating these children's health level, and the scale is dropping even lower. Not only is there obesity, but there's a high rate of anemia, which is a condition of losing healthy, red blood cells caused by a poor diet and insufficient exercise. Already thousands of parents have complained about the foul food that is dared to reach into their children's bodies, but there are still so many schools that allow containing frozen and artificial foods, including vending machines filled with chips and chocolate bars. We need a change now!

Hello, Bop TV Supporters and Viewers, Rosalie Wright Elementary School in SW Atlanta has sat empty for approx. 10 years. BOP TV would like to take this abandoned building and turn it into a Media/Arts/Technology training center, offices and TV studio. WHY?... I have started this petition because I am a student of the Stratford Public Schools and all my 13 years of living in Stratford I have never once enjoyed the lunches and felt like I was consuming something worth paying for. And there has to be a change in the food. The Stratford Board of Education's policy for the lunches are that they must provide nutritionally balanced and attractive lunches available to all students with sufficient time allowed for eating, and what I and most of my student body are not receiving.

One of the budget options on the table with the Central York School Board will be voted on Monday is eliminating the diversity specialist. This will essentially cut the only staff dedicated to advocating for students and families in issues of bias. If you are in the district please call and email board members, and sign this petition to let them know this eliminating this vital service is not an option for our students and families.

I and other students have a deep concern for the worth of our degrees once we receive our diplomas from LSTC. We want LSTC to be the best it can be, and we want our hard work to pay off when we go out into the academic world applying for jobs.

We are calling out to Reddies and our community to show their support and keep the MMLC the way it is. As of Thursday, May 3rd, seven HSU employees were let go including our supervisor of student workers at the MMLC and our Digital Artist. It was later revealed by Henderson that they plan on "outsourcing" the center. The MMLC has been a resource to students, faculty, organizations, alumni, and many community members for decades. We pride ourselves on being a center that focuses on our patrons and not profit (we sell all of our materials for the cost to restock). HSU should be focusing first on students with their budget cuts and changes to the university. Please show your support by keeping the MMLC open and the way it is by signing our petition.
