There is evidence mounting that heavy metals like aluminum and barium may be constituents in cloud-seeding practices. Stand with me and demand that there be full disclosure of all ingredients in cloud-seeding.

It's mainly about my concern with avoiding potential health issues that are caused by the smoke inhaled from second hand smoke. People that smoke have decided against their own risks of health problems to smoke, unlike the non smoking population. We are subjected to inhale the smoke that smokers let put at almost every turning corner of the city. I just want the same freedom and ability to choose. I choose to be smoke free. I know that people are their own person and make their own decisions, but when those decisions affect more than just one individual it is viewed as a problem. There are babies (children) that are constantly subjected to this. Smokers should have their freedom to smoke, but in their own home or in a designated area where other smokers are. Walking along in the street with a cigarette on hand should not be allowed at all. It will help with the pollution as well. I'm not a public figure, just a concerned mother. I see how many people die each year just from issues brought on by the effects of second hand smoke inhalation. Did they have a choice? If this law is to be passed it will minimize the number of death from second hand smoke inhalation, and In turn help with the healthcare issues that these conditions cause by bringing the number of hospitalizations down due to this very problem. My community has a lot of smokers, and i choose to stand up for what is right, and we deserve to have clean air to breath as we commute to work, school, and any other place we decide to go without being subjected to endure these conditions. Bad enough we have other issues to worry about with our community and our children; this would help all those that choose to not smoke stay healthier. Nothing wastes more gas than carpool lanes. Anyone on a crowded freeway can see that 1000 cars crawling bumper to bumper in three lanes and one lane with hardly anyone using it is NOT an efficient way to use the lanes. We pay more in sales tax than any other state and we are third in fuel taxes. How is it fair that the newest lanes on our most crowded freeways are being made into toll lanes? So the richest of us can skip past traffic. Let's stop it now!

Virginians across the state are concerned with the collusion between big business and government as it pertains to our water and air quality. If the ban on mining uranium is not reinstated then the health and well-being of all Virginians will be jeopardized. Virginia's agricultural economy would be forever compromised and diminished as toxic containment facilities routinely fail.

When you generate your own electricity through solar panels or wind turbines, the unused power goes back into the power grid. Most states do not require energy companies to pay for that energy, so the power companies get your energy for free and sell it to other people at full price and full profit. IT IS TIME THAT OUR GOVERNMENT MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO PROTECT THE SHRINKING, IRREPLACEABLE NATURAL RESOURCES THAT THE WORLD HAS LEFT. The Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli has violated their own constitution by giving a concession to Inmet Mining Corporation, a Canadian mining company is trying to exploit large deposits of gold and copper located in Cobre, Panama. This large open-pit copper development project concession is located 120 kilometres west of Panama City and 20 kilometres from the Caribbean Sea coast, in the district of Donoso, Colon province, in the Republic of Panama. The concession consists of four zones totalling 13,600 hectares in the middle of the the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, the Reserva Forestal Fortuna and the Bosque Protector Palo Seco, some of the most pristine protected rainforests containing large amounts of the world's biological species. The indigenous peoples of these areas are ready to die to protect their lands, people and way of life from these greedy companies that only care about profiting from these resources. It is time a much greater voice is heard to stop this exploitation from taking from the world that which money can never replace, the beauty and awe of the natural world for our future children. President Martinelli, stop this mistake before it is too late.

A growing list of companies (Leonardo Corp, Brillouin Energy, Defkalion Green Technology, et al) have developed prototypes of cheap, highly efficient, safe, non-polluting energy systems that are almost ready for market. These systems offer transformational solutions to climate change, unemployment, energy supply, resource problems as well as development opportunities that will produce a positive future for generations to come. These energy systems require certification before they can be marketed for home and other uses. At least one company has entered the certification process We're calling on President Obama, members of Congress, and involved agencies to help educate the public regarding these energy developments and to expedite the adoption of these devices.

The world and the country is getting more and more extreme weather every year with over 40,000 temperature records broken this year along with record breaking wildfires and droughts. The public are now seeing this affect them personally and there is widespread belief that the climate is changing due to the burning of fossil fuels. This was predicted decades ago by the scientists and is now happening! We need real leadership in Washington to address this issue yet the President says nothing and most republicans in congress deny it is even happening.
