Commit Louisiana to Paris Climate AgreementOn June 1, 2017, the current president declared that America would no longer abide by the agreements of the Paris Climate Accords. This is an agreement that was made to mitigate the affects of greenhouses gases on global climate change. It has been signed by 195 countries. This is a move that purports to put America first but in reality puts the Earth last. It is now up to the governors of the 50 individual United States of America to do what Trump will not. This issue is particularly important to the state of Louisiana. Scientifically recognized maps show our state being mostly under water in the very foreseeable future. This may or may not be a preventable future but the least we can do is slow it down.654 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Rachel Watts

Tell Governor Bryant to Join the Coalition of States Committed to the Carbon Reduction Efforts of...Climate change is a serious crisis that impacts every one in the world. If we do not begin taking the actions needed to save our planet, it will become uninhabitable for ourselves and future generations. Although President Trump has decided to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement, several states have come together to create a coalition committed to the carbon reduction efforts required by the agreement. Please help me in urging Governor Bryant to enlist Mississippi in this coalition in order to save the planet from climate change! If we don't start taking efforts to combat it now, it may be too late. Climate change is real. We cannot deny it any longer.342 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Erica Herman

Congress: Teach Climate Change on State WebsitesAs a resident of a coastal state with a thriving tourism industry, I am extremely concerned about the impact that rising sea levels due to global warming will have on our economy. We can and should take every opportunity to reverse the trend of climate change through sustainable environmental practices.71 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Lotito

Georgia must support the Paris Climate AgreementI think changes have to be made, and since Donald Trump will not be leading us in the right direction we must stand up and do it ourselves. We as a whole will be harm if we do nothing to save this planet. It would be selfish to not want to make this planet a better place since our childrens and their childrens will be the ones paying for our ignorance. In order to make change we must individually make effort to change for the better. Climate change is very really and not believing in it will be a dangerous mistake that we cannot afford to make. Over 90 percent of scientist agreed that climate change is real, and we are currently seeing some effect of it with our very own eyes, yet we chose to ignore it. Frankly it should not even be a debatable issue, because the fact are there and they are not going to go away. We have to read up and keep ourselves inform, and not be easily sway by absurd claims. We need to educate ourselves on environmental issues and find ways we can live sustainably. It is in our best interest to help the environment since it would do nothing but benefit us. I mean what could possibly go wrong if we make the planet a better place for all of us?1,321 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Thuam Puii

Thank you, Gov. Malloy for taking action for our climateWe cannot deny the effects of global warming and its scientific proof. As the one of the wealthiest states in the wealthiest nation on the earth, we have a responsibility to support current, and enact future legislation, that will protect our wildlife, the environment, and the National Park system. We cannot allow public lands to be defiled for the good of the few. We have witnessed here in Connecticut the alarming loss of honey bees, Monarch butterfles, and the mutations of frogs, just to name a few. Thank you for being one Governor who stood up.52 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cathy Spyrie
