• No More Drones
The drone attacks in Pakistan are eerily reminiscent of the London blitz.

  • Cut Military Spending. Close Overseas U.S. Military Bases
As a way to reduce military spending President Obama should establish a Commission to study the feasibility of closing some U.S. military instulations located on foreign soil. This Commission would report back to the President within one year with recomendations for the closing of overseas U.S. military instulations. The closures would encompass roughly %50 of U.S. military personel and roughly %50 of all foreing instulations. To be implemented within 10 years.

  • Time to End the War in Afghanistan
President Obama is about to receive a set of military options for Afghanistan from his advisers. We believe that the best strategy to serve the interests of the American people and our brave troops on the ground is an accelerated withdrawal to bring to an end the decade-long war as soon as can safely and responsibly be accomplished. Please stand with me and the more than 45 representatives who've stood up so far. Sign your name to the letter below.

  • Biofuels for the military
Our military is dependent on foreign oil, and taxpayers pay billions to fuel our military. The military wants to aggressively expand its use of biofuel, but senators John McCain and James Inhofe are blocking the military from building refineries to produce biofuel or buying biofuel. Studies show that allowing the military to pursue its biofuel programs will produce 14,000 new jobs by 2020 and add $10 billion in economic activity.

  • Out of Afghanistan and Pakistan
Removing our troops from further casualties from a war with no direction and lot's of $$, why allow our neighbor's son or daughter to die in vein.

  • Peace Agreement in Israel and Palestinian Territories
The recent heartbreaking Israel/Gaza conflict reminds us of the urgent necessity to use our influence as Americans to support the rights of all civilians to live in peace. Too often we take the side as activists of one or the other, instead of taking the side of a peace that respects both. NGOs such as Combatants for Peace, Bereaved Families Forum, and Jerusalem Peacemakers need us to push our government to support coexistence.

  • Add your voice in support of the free and open Internet
The Internet empowers everyone — anyone can speak, create, learn, and share. It is controlled by no one — no single organization, individual, or government. It connects the world. Today, more than two billion people are online — about a third of the planet. But not all governments support the free and open Internet. There is a growing backlash on Internet freedom. Forty-two countries filter and censor content. In just the last two years, governments have enacted 19 new laws threatening online free expression. Some of these governments are trying to use a closed-door meeting in December to regulate the Internet. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is bringing together regulators from around the world to re-negotiate a decades-old communications treaty. Proposed changes to the treaty could increase censorship and threaten innovation. Some proposals could permit governments to censor legitimate speech — or even allow them to cut off Internet access. Other proposals would require services like YouTube, Facebook, and Skype to pay new tolls in order to reach people across borders. This could limit access to information — particularly in emerging markets. People around the world are standing up for freedom. Users, experts and organizations from around the world have voiced their opposition to governments regulating the Internet through the ITU.

  • Stop Wars/Bail-Outs
To help balance our budget: Stop the Wars; pull our troops out of every country and stop meddling in their problems. Stop the insane "war on drugs" especially marijuana to start with. Stop giving my money to other countries, businesses, green projects, or organizations. If they cannot succeed on their own merits, then they should fail.
