This website is virtually unknown. We need the Secretary of State to help get the word out about it. People can register on line, choose the Vote By Mail option, and they are done! Democracy depends on voting!

While I have not personally been affected by this issue, many of my closest friends are part of the LGBTQ community. I believe they deserve equal rights under the law, and should not be discriminated against simply because of their sexual orientation. Arizona should catch up to the 21st century and pass common-sense human right legislation so nobody in the LGBTQ community can be discriminated against for one identifying factor.

Many if not most Pennsylvania state elections are held on odd numbered years. How many voters realize they need to go to the polls on odd numbered years? The state would save considerable amounts of money, resources, and election worker hours if such elections were held only on even numbered years.

Senator Scarnati has refused to follow the laws he has sworn to uphold. He is too busy peddling his name in grocery stores, state funded gift shops, and his candy stores to do his "day job." LINC Up is calling for the immediate and radical implementation of the policy and practice changes that residents have been demanding for years.

We feel that it is important to increase voter participation. Those who work long hours or have jobs that do not allow them time off do not have the opportunity to vote. Voting is a fundamental right in our democratic society. Democrats have proposed House Resolution 1 on the floor of Congress. This resolution will expand transparency and accessibility in elections. This resolution also suggests making Election Day a national holiday for all Americans in order to increase voter turnout across the country, as folks would be able to take time off from work to fulfill their civic duty. Mitch McConnell has stated that this is a desperate attempt by Democrats to power grab, but the only reason McConnell is saying this is because he is scared of what it will mean for Republicans if more Americans are able to vote. The agenda of the Republican party has been to disenfranchise as many Americans as possible in the voting process, and we have to fight back against these attacks on our democracy. Let's pass HR 1 and make federal elections a national holiday.

The House Intelligence Committee just voted along party lines to release the so-called “Nunes memo” -- a document drafted at the direction of the committee’s chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA). Many who have seen the memo say it gets basic facts wrong, cherrypicks information and has absolutely zero credibility. This memo is just the latest in a long string of attempts by Republicans in Congress to undermine and smear Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Donald Trump and Russian election meddling. It’s especially telling that during last night’s partisan vote, Committee Republicans blocked release of the Democratic members’ memo which rebuts Nunes' claims. We cannot afford to let this become a partisan fight -- our democracy was attacked and Americans deserve the full truth. We can't allow Devin Nunes to continue spreading unfounded innuendo about the Russia probe to undermine its credibility as Mueller investigates the President for obstruction of justice. Please speak out and pressure Speaker Paul Ryan to remove Nunes from participating in the Russia investigation.

Our democracy is at stake. We must protect this great nation from autocratic rule.

This petition is being started to protect the taxpayers of Fall River from having to pay for poor decisions made due to political differences. Colin Dias has shown, numerous times, that he is unable to make informed decisions. Dias has shown, through articles written for Southcoast Media, that he has a bias against many of the elected officials in our city. I believe that this would create a conflict that could negatively affect Fall River taxpayers. Dias would likely make decisions to prevent duly elected officials from executing the job the citizens elected them to do. Additionally, Dias' petition to get appointed to the Fall River Wattupa Water Board appears to be an attempt to force Mayor Correia to appoint him or face accusations of not having appointed Dias due to his relationship with Former Mayor Flanagan.

United States border patrol agents routinely vandalise containers of water and other supplies left in the Arizona desert for migrants, condemning people to die of thirst in baking temperatures, according to two humanitarian groups. In a report published on Wednesday, the Tucson-based groups said the agents committed the alleged sabotage with impunity in an attempt to deter and punish people who illegally cross from Mexico. Volunteers found water gallons vandalised 415 times, on average twice a week, in an 800 sq mile patch of Sonoran desert south-west of Tucson, from March 2012 to December 2015, the report said. The damage affected 3,586 gallons. The report came amid renewed rancour in Washington over Donald Trump’s desire to build a border wall and his alleged racism towards non-white immigrants. Congress is scrambling to reach a deal on immigration and border security before federal funding expires on Friday, raising the spectre of a government shutdown.
