• Massachusetts Legislature: Lead the nation in open government
Our state recently received a failing grade for legislative transparency on the web. In addition, our public records law is broken. Journalists, concerned citizens, and others with a need – and right – to know how our government is working often can’t get the information they need. That’s just unacceptable, especially in a state like ours. This petition calls on the Legislature to make much needed changes so that Massachusetts leads rather than lags behind the nation in having accessible, searchable, and usable information about our government online.

  • Binding Referenda on National Ballots
Certain motivations of lawmaking, have moved well away from the benefit of the country and populous to the great benefit of lobbyists, large corporations and of the lawmakers themselves. The country suffers and starves, while our lawmakers (both Republicans and Democrats) say,"Let them eat cake." The banks, large and multinational corporations, who constantly whine for less taxes and governmental control (free market capitalism), then want to be "bailed out," whenever they get caught by their own bad policies. This is just a few reasons to start taking a direct control of "our employees" in Washington DC.

  • Petition to Establish The Independent Republic of California
California is the most populous state in the Union and has one of the largest economies in the world. The state is politically different from the rest of the Unites States (the Union), and has an increasingly more heterogeneous population. The State pays more money into the national treasury than is returned and therefore subsidizes states whose political philosophy holds back social and economic progress in our State. California would do better for its citizens as an independent republic

  • Ed DeMarco - don't drive Ramón and his family out of their home!
My name is Ramón S. In 2005, my wife Rosana and I purchased our home to raise our three beautiful children. We love our home, and our neighborhood and we want to stay here. Sadly, we’re being forced out of our home and onto the streets because of one man--Ed DeMarco. On Tuesday March 19th, Acting Federal Housing Finance Agency Ed DeMarco is testifying before Congress. Will you help me send him a message on Tuesday that he can’t take my family’s home? For years, we faithfully made our monthly payments until we ran into some bad luck. I lost my job and Rosana had to take a leave of absence to care for her mom who was very ill. By the time we both were able to get back to work, we were behind on our monthly mortgage payments. In his position, DeMarco is the boss of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. And no matter how much we tried to negotiate, Freddie Mac refused to any modification of our loan because of Ed DeMarco’s irrational and destructive opposition to principal reduction. Since then, we’ve saved the money to buy back our home with the support of a local non-profit, but Freddie Mac still won’t take our offer. Ed DeMarco is hurting my family and millions of other families and dragging down our country's economic progress. We worked hard to buy this home, and we love our community. Our children deserve better than what Ed DeMarco is doing to them. On Tuesday, we can send the message to Ed DeMarco that he needs to do what's right. Can you join me and tell Ed DeMarco that he can't take my home? We want to be able to pay our mortgage every month and remain in the home and community we love.

  • Fire Attorney General Eric Holder
Eric Holder has been totally ineffective in bringing the " Banksters " to justice. He has also failed to to do anything about the admitted war criminals in the previous administration. He has shown time and time again that he is afraid of big companies and corporations. We need someone with guts to take on the nation's major criminals.
