Oregon Lawmakers: Support Gun RegulationThe citizens of Oregon need to feel safe in all public places. Now is the time to mandate gun safety in our state. We've already experienced and increase in gun related incidents in the Metro area including gang and the shooting at Clackamas Town Center. We do not want to wait for another devastating occurrence before we act. The time is now.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary Ellen Edwards

End GerrymanderingThe practice of gerrymandering has been used by both parties in Statehouses throughout the country to effectively disenfranchise voters and tip the balance in favor of the party controlling the state legislature at the time. This has led to more and more extreme candidates getting elected, as they play to the fringes of their own party, rather than to the center of the electorate, resulting in the current congress, mired in fillibusters and inaction.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alex Corcoran

Legalize Hemp and MarijuanaSurely no member of the vegetable kingdom has ever been more misunderstood than hemp. For too many years, emotion-not reason-has guided our policy toward this crop. And nowhere have emotions run hotter than in the debate over the distinction between industrial hemp and marijuana. This paper is intended to inform that debate by offering scientific evidence, so that farmers, policymakers, manufacturers, and the general public can distinguish between myth and reality. http://www.naihc.org/hemp_information/content/hemp.mj.html4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pat L

Reinstate Tuition Assistance for our Armed ServicesI'm not in the military, and I never have been. But, that doesn't matter. I understand that spending cuts need to happen in our government, but the education of the men and women fighting for our freedom is not the place for this to happen. Aid for our troops attending college has been taken away, and that is not okay. President Obama has long said he wants to bring America back up to leading the world in education. Let him stand by what he preaches, and help all of our troops better their lives and achieve their goals!3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Shannon Lee McAdoo

Elizabeth StewartI am 81 years old. Live in a retirement community. I am buying my home but not allowed to receive a reduction in interest rates or a Reverse Mortgage because of a state law against people who do not own their land. I believe this law is extremely UNFAIR.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Elizabeth

Stop Changing PennsylvaniaFirst Gov. Corbett was elected by "WHO"? Then he cut education, denied free Medicaid money from the government, polluted farming communities with fracking, now he is taking our state land away and our state run liquor stores. Is there going to be a Pennsylvania that I recognize by the time we run this crook out of town? IMPEACH Gov. Corbett NOW!4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Johanna Manning

Require Congress to take Economics CoursesCongress make decisions that will affect millions, without fully understanding the repercussions of their actions. They vote for cuts, perhaps thinking this will save the government money when in fact it ends up costing more in the long run.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Susan Setteducato

Save Public Transit in AtlantaI’ve seen a lot of things in my eight-year career working for MARTA. The one thing that keeps me going, though, is knowing I’m able to provide the best service to people who depend on MARTA to get to work, pick their kids up from school or visit their doctor. But extreme politicians at the state capitol are trying to jeopardize the service, safety and affordability of public transit in Atlanta by pushing a bill to require mandatory privatization of MARTA. If this legislation passes, people could see the quality of services decrease in order to make room for bigger and bigger profits for the company running the system. For more than 40 years, we've kept the “public” in Atlanta's public transportation system. Tell your senator to keep it that way.771 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Twyla Townsend
