I lost my job and Rosana had to take a leave of absence to care for her mom who was very ill. By the time we both were able to get back to work, we were behind on our monthly mortgage payments. In his position, DeMarco is the boss of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. And no matter how much we tried to negotiate, Freddie Mac refused to any modification of our loan because of Ed DeMarco’s irrational and destructive opposition to principal reduction. Since then, we’ve saved the money to buy back our home with the support of a local non-profit, but Freddie Mac still won’t take our offer. Ed DeMarco is hurting my family and millions of other families and dragging down our country's economic progress. We worked hard to buy this home, and we love our community. Our children deserve better than what Ed DeMarco is doing to them. On Tuesday, we can send the message to Ed DeMarco that he needs to do what's right. Can you join me and tell Ed DeMarco that he can't take my home? We want to be able to pay our mortgage every month and remain in the home and community we love.
