The Senate is broken. But still some Democratic Senators are resisting filibuster reform. We need to make sure that all 55 of the Democratic Senators support reforming the filibuster when the new congress convenes.

To ensure that all employees are treated fairly, all company's (public or private) are held to the same standard, and employee wages compensate for the increase in prices of the economy all company's should be mandate to give their employees a 5 % raise every year if they receive a satisfactory employee evaluation. This would be a federal and state mandate and would be based on employee evaluations. If the employee receives anything below fair the company would let the employee go. If they receive a fair then the company would still be mandated to give a raise but a lower percentage determined by the company but no less than 2 %.

Signing this petition is a promise or refusal to vote for any public official that agrees to sign or creates a "pledge" for others to sign. Signing pledges creates an infantile game that politicians are playing instead of voting their conscience or the way the people they represent would like them to vote. This has to stop so that compromise and negotiation can, once again, rule the way our politicians get things done.

This petition is to give the citizens of the US controll, as it really is in life. Our politicians today, act wrecklessly in reguards to our general well being, with no fear of consiquences. They inact and put into law their own wages, pensions and health care (FOR LIFE) as if they have really earned it. Meanwhile, they try and often do pass laws that have an adverce affect on the general population, and it does't affect them because they are immuned, due to their royal status, for life, while the citizens of this country bare the burden.

Our political leaders are playing with fire and our economic future due to their inability to collaborate and drive consensus for the benefit of the greatest and most successful economic and social experiment on Earth - The United States of America. Ballot access for average citizens to become candidates is prohibitive. Qualifying fees are too high, and petition targets too high for those who might attempt to qualify by the petition method. The People should not be locked out of the opportunity to serve. I, the undersigned, hereby petition that you take up the issue of Ballot Access Reform, and make adjustments to the system to open the opportunity to serve to those who would seek it. Elevate Debate :: As the People demand that money be removed as the primary and central driver of our Elections, we petition you to legislate a return to the process that was historically at the heart and center of Democracy, which is the process of Debate. In Florida, with 67 Supervisors of Elections managing multi-million dollar budgets, it seems reasonable to charge these offices with the organizing and administration of a program of Debates, for the benefit of the voters, to be held in public places, and to be filmed and archived to be made publicly accessible through the Internet throughout the Election Cycle. Candidates should be required to participate in a minimum number of direct debates with their opponents, at prescribed intervals in the Current Campaign Election Cycle, or face disqualification from the ballot. If a candidate has a specific legislative agenda and specific proposals, that candidate shall be required to present that specific legislative agenda and proposals in their campaign literature, and on campaign websites that are published to inform the voters. We need to get this country back in order. Our children are falling behind, far to many people are ill, hungry, homeless, or living in poverty for our tax dollars to be going to wars & other countries. We The People want Congress to end out of country spending until this country is in order!

The Utility commission is a group of folks that are appointed by the Governor in WA State. They are the decision makers on all utility charge increases that every house hold is affected by. They need to be voted in to this position by the voters that pay these increased rates.

All U.S. citizens need to unite to prevent the further erosion of our Democratic form of government by the many negative factions in the current Republican party. The current Republican party has dissolved into a mean spirited mob bully guided by ideas and ideals more than half a century old. Unfortunately, the Republican party CHOOSES not to listen to the will of the people even after a national election. Sadly, the Republican Party must be seriously wounded before it will listen and again become a useful member of our government.

There have been comments that the White House or Congress has suggested and some endorsement for a lifetime of secret service body guard for ex Presidents and their spouses. JUST SAY NO. The current 10 years post service is enough. Ex Presidents and their spouses (of our modern times) are multi millionaires and do not need permanent Taxpayer funding.
