My petition is to target our members of Congress to make some changes in the laws regarding three (3) items that are out of control, and they are the only one's who can change them. 1. Term limits: as most Congress members have made careers out of politics, they need to pass a law that imposes a two (2) four year limit on term as a Congress member. So as to eliminate the corruption that comes with career politics. 2. Campaign finance reform: I don't have the specifics, but campaign finance reform will eliminate big business and corporate America from buying career politicians. (See change 1 above). 3. Abolish Lobbying: Lobbying used to be called bribery and was illegal. Somehow the name was changed to lobbying, yet the crime is still being committed on a daily basis. We need to stop lobbying in Washington D.C.

It's about resurrecting our democracy from the obstructionists and getting our country back to the important issues that need firm, sane decisions.

It is time we included "Equality" in the American values that we teach our children by reciting the pledge.

Too many people being killed by crazy people

In order for congressmen and senators to receive their paychecks, debates and votes MUST result in action on: Gun control Taxes And other issues that we the people elected them to do. The election is over and we want to see resuls.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety will receive neither.

The time is now to change our culture of violence and prevent the horrific massacres that are occurring with increasing frequency. The 2nd amendment is a relic of our revolutionary past and is no longer relevant in our modern society.

There are thousands of federal employees and military personnel who are paid with federal tax dollars but who are delinquent in reporting their income on annual federal tax returns and in paying their fair share of taxes. Many of them neglect to resolve their own tax situations and in setting the proper example as public servants. These people should not be deserving of paychecks that are funded by federal tax dollars if they are not willing to report and pay their fair share.

I am outraged at the senseless killing of innocents , and by the killing machines in the hands of almost anyone these days. Nobody but law enforcement should have use of assault weapons.

NO MORE CHILDREN WILL BE SACRIFICED ON THE ALTAR OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT! I don't know how, but this grandfather has had enough. I'm going to start a campaign, movement, whatever it takes, and we're going to go after the guns. Americans don't need handguns and we don't need assault weapons, and clearly the system we have today doesn't work. Twenty kindergarten children were murdered today; an entire classroom full of six and seven year olds. The shooter reportedly used two 9mm handguns, one made by Glock and the other by Sig Sauer, and an AR-15-type rifle also was found at the scene. Spare me the whining about your Second Amendment rights, I don’t want to hear it, and I don’t think the twenty sets of parents, or the forty sets of grandparents care one whit about your right to own an AK47, AR15 or semi-automatic pistol; while you’re screaming about your precious gun rights, stop and think about the erased rights of those 20 children to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. Their blood and their futures is too high a price for your right to go “target shooting”, to “collect” weapons, or to prepare for whatever post apocalyptic future you’ve dreamed up in your foil encrusted head. The government of the U. S. and all its states have a duty set forth in our country's Constitution, beginning with the Preamble--the sacred philosophical foundation of all that follows in the remainder of the document: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Finally, let's wake up and hold the president, governor and all law makers responsible. The right to be safe from murder trumps the right of a well regulated militia to bear arms. It's the right of LIFE.
