• Truth in Campaign Advertising
Since there's truth in advertising for the public/commercial issues, there should be "whole truth" in political advertising. Freedom of Speech should not apply to lies/out of context utterances.

  • Live Like the People
Both sides of the aisle have, will or are screaming about the National Debt and the need to get it lower yet they refuse to even look at the number one best tool toward a balanced budget - a line item veto. Every past President has lamented not having one but Congress will not listen

  • Heal the Body Politic
The obscene amount of money spent in this election cycle is contaminating the Body Politic. President Obama was responsible for passing Health Care Reform (The Affordable Care Act). Now we need him to take leadership on appointing Supreme Court Justices that will take a favorable position on overturning Citizens United.

  • Congressional Reform Act of 2013
We the people no longer find the current legislative practices fair to the public. We have a situation where the FOX has been left in charge of the Hen House scenario. 1. Congress should work for a retirement just like any other federal employee. 2. Congress should have medical benefits while in office which are the same as that received by any other federal employee. 3. Our soldiers serve 20 years in order to receive a full pension, so should any members of congress. 4. Retired members of congress must use the benefit of Social Security and Medicare, the same as any other citizen. They may purchase supplemental and prescription insurance the same as any other citizen. 5. Bills brought before congress are subject to veto by the president on a line by line expense basis. We need to eliminate bills which members can not support because it contains amendments that append other legislation to a bill. We need to have a congress that serves the needs of the PEOPLE and not the whims of their political party. The current retirement and benefit system afforded a President and Vice President shall remain as currently implemented. Both offices are demanding and deserves all the perks afforded present and past occupants of both offices. No one person may collect remuneration for more than one office however.

  • No Longer Using Social Security Number for Identification Purposes
I think it's should be illegal for companies to require individuals to use their social security numbers for identification. I believe it would reduce the identity theft if these numbers had no use other than the original purpose to identify you to the Social Security Administration. Every action Americans take (including verifying themselves to local businesses) includes use of their social security number or a portion of it.

  • Can you get a fair workman comp hearing? NO
It is about getting a fair hearing on workman comp, you follow the rules to the T and get stiffed. But lawyers can take judges to breakfest, lunch or dinner what does that get you, your case won. I have proof. How many of you feel you did not get a fair hearing?

  • No Lobbying Pledge
Congressional approval ratings are at an all time low, and with good reason. Between 1947-1948 President Harry Truman's infamous "do nothing" Congress enacted 906 laws—ours has passed a mere 173. The promise of a lucrative future as a lobbyist makes elected officials ignore the needs of the people while catering only to fat cats and special interests. I feel as though my government does not work for me, and that Congress has lost touch with America. This has happened, in large part, because the revolving door has turned it into a farm league for K Street. It's time for Congress to return their focus to the common person and take seriously the job we elected them to do.

  • Run-Off Elections
We need to have built in run-off elections so that voters can show their support for candidates who are not in the lead without feeling like they're "throwing away" their votes. This is important because it allows people to support a third party candidate, and it may be that the alternate candidate is the best choice.

  • Term Limits
When our Founding Fathers framed the Constitution and the Bill of Rights I doubt they envisioned our elected Congressional terms to be more than a finite period of time. Today Congress members have begun to feel entitled to their positions and hence corporate money, lobbyists, and PACS own them. Reelection becomes the Congress person's primary goal - and not what is best for the country.
