I think congress should be on an hourly rate. I don't like that my tax dollar is being spent on people that are not earning it. This has been the worse "do nothing congress" in history. Have them punch a time clock, no work, no pay. We will save a lot of money or we will have a congress doing the work that we sent them there to do.

Conservatism has been masquerading under the label of a political ideology, but it is in reality a vast criminal organization that has caused irreparable harm to America and the world. Hello I feel with the way America needs to save money that politicians should have a huge decrease in their pay and benefits. Why should our soliders take pay cuts in economic downturn when it should be the president and all the top government officials that should take a pay cut

I am outraged, disgusted and angered by the amount of money spent on elections, at every level, money that could be used to solve real problems, like homelessness, education, etc. Since I had to choose one state, I am hoping that voters in the other states will start their own petitions to put an end to money in politics and time spent on fundraising instead of actually working on issues.

I received a post on Facebook that said "Pay congress minimum wage and see how quick things change". Sounds like a good idea and it will save some tax payer money. More than half of them are millionaires anyway and have the best health benefits and retirement package of any public sector employee.
