All congress members should have one 6 year term. One third of the congressmen would be elected every two years. They would go back to their home states with NO RETIREMENT AND NO MEDICAL INSURANCE when their 6 year term is over. When they reach retirement age, just like all of the rest of us , they would be eligible for Social Security and Medicare just like all the rest of us.

Changing our congress so that it works for the 'people' that chose them to represent us.

I'm concern congress has lost touch with reality and only do what benefits themselves and not the majority of Americans causing the downward spiral of the american way of life. I'm calling on congress to start representing the majority of Americans by changing the benefits they have from our government to what the benefits are of the 99%, its called the Congressional Reform Act of 2012 by Warren Buffet.

No other government entity is required to pay insurance and retirement services 75 years in advance. It's ludicrous to pay for retirement and other perks for workers who aren't even born yet. This regulation is archaic and given Congressional arguments that we must cut funding, the most sensible place to start is by allowing the USPS to only fund those services for a 2-3 year period, with bi-annual review for adjustment. Most of us are well-aware this is your attempt to dismantle an excellent agency that operates with the highest standards of integrity, unlike the current Congress. I'm respectfully requesting you to maintain our United States (government-run) Postal Service and forget the idea of privatizing it in effort to make the private sector create high profit while paying the workers the least under your 'Right To Work' philosophy.

We need to put an end to the Electoral College. Since we now have computerized voting the Electoral College is no longer needed.

We need to be more agressive to control the run away sales of guns

For too many years congress has been determined their own salaries, benefits, etc. Since; "We the people pay their salaries" it is time for congess to answer to the people.

We cannot have a Democracy when the Plutocracy buys elections. The amount of money flowing into elections on the national and local level is only good for the plutocrats. It is imperative that we abolish Citizens United.

Congressmen are supposed to be elected by and represent the citizen residents of each individual state. However there are no limitations on persons resident in other states or countries for that matter, to give funds to help elect persons out side their own jurisdictions. Allowing this interference distorts the fact that Congress is elected to represent their constituents, not the will of people anywhere in the world.

House Corporate Mouthpiece John Boehner recently blamed the American people for the devisiveness in Congress, a gross act of political cowardness and hypocracy and certainly a pathetic abrogation of leadership. In marked contrast the U.S. Olympic athletes have shown the power of teamwork. They have also exemplified the ideal of sportsmanship, enthusiastically congratulating the winning athletes of other countries.

Payroll deductions were taken from my salary at the applicable rate when I worked in Corporate America. The last 10 years of my employment before retiring were teaching with no SS deductions. Upon retiring, my SS benefits were reduced by 40%. My retirement benefits collectively are very meager and the 40% reduction does not leave me enough money to live on so I must continue to work even though I am over 70 years old.

Companies like Black Water and KBR and the new names that have now changed to are still responsible for wasting American Tax Dollars. We want our Taxes for war to go to Military only.
