Abolishing Primary Elections

The Oneida County Board of Supervisors meets during morning hours, making it difficult or impossible for working families to attend. On January 17, the Concerned Citizens will present to the board, the petition requesting more convenient meeting times. We also wish to present a banner listing names (and reasons) of citizens who could not attend the presentation on the 17th. In addition to signing, in the Comment section, please state the reason you are unable to attend the meeting on the 17th. "Working", "Supervising kids", "Volunteering" "at the Dentist Office", or anything that daytime meeting hours causes difficulty for your active participation. Thanks so much!

Student loan debt is often overwhelming, and causing financial instability and hardships for many working Americans. While student loan forgiveness programs exist, many do not qualify. Amnesty should therefore be granted to at least one exemplary citizen, who uses the education they are in debt for, to serve their community. We are therefore calling for Congress to pass a law, that grants student loan pardons to at least one deserving American citizen, making a significant contribution to their community.

Since trimming government spending is uppermost in the minds of our legislators, it is fitting that the trimming must start with them. Their salaries and benefits are way too large; limos, parking, inflated pensions and staff enough to populate a middle size city. Yes, the running of the government needs serious downsizing. It is a terrible drain on the American taxpayers. A 25% cut in salaries, benefits and staff may just go a long way in getting our nation back on it's feet. (This petition does not apply to maintenance personnel.)

Members of the USA Congress should receive no benefits upon leaving office except what they would qualify for under Social Security.

Just as the President of the USA can only serve for 8 years, others serving in Congress and all States should only serve for the same period. There is too much greed and corruption.

Congress has gone too far by putting itself above the people, is corrupt and disfunctional. America needs a constitutional amendment to bring congress back to the people.

Puerto Rico has been a commonwealth of the United States for 50 years and we the residents of the island are asking the congress of the United States to take action on this matter. The Congress has really not taken any action what so ever to change or view the actual status of Puerto Rico. Congressmen, can you please take action soon?

Our Congress is half millionaires and campaign millions have bought and paid for legislation. Allow only limited $100 donations by individual citizens, NO CORPORATIONS OR BUSINESSES OR GROUPS/

Make political ads, for candidates and issues, meet the same truth in advertising that we already require for products and services.

Stop lobbyist power by stopping their access to Congress and the President.
