Ban Assault Rifles in CaliforniaAR-15s and AK-47s are machine guns, or assault rifles, whose sole purpose is to kill as many people in as short a time as possible. These weapons of war have no place in our communities. As we've seen time and time again, way too many times, access to these assault weapons wreak havoc in our society and innocent children and adults are killed in the places that should be the most safe and protected, such as schools. The 2nd amendment was written in 1791, a time when machine guns had not been invented yet and America was occupied by British armies. How many more children will have to die to protect an amendment that is irrelevant and outdated to today's technology? What is more important: unnecessary access to assault rifles or our country's children? If no change is made, no change will happen. Sign to ban assault weapons in California.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Veronica De Mornay-O'Neal

No Gun Magazines in SupermarketsI have lost two family members to handguns, and I am sick of reading about shootings every day in the paper. Whose side should a food market be on: life-affirming or promoting death?54 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bill Warner

Amend the 2nd AmendmentI am a Doctor of Chiropractic and as a Health professional I cannot justify anyone having access to Assault Weapons and Large Capacity Magazines. I am a Father and Grandfather; yes I am deeply affected by any mass shootings and especially by the senseless killings of children. I am calling on all Health Professionals and citizens to join me in this effort. It might take years, but it is a matter of time and times are of a changing.23 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dr. Arno Burnier

Congress: Pay for treatment of victims of mass shootings.Since no entity is more responsible for these destroyed lives, it is only just that Congress bear the burden. It is my hope that if Congress had to pay the price for their actions (or inaction) it might strive to fulfill its obligation to the people.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Roberta Schonemann

Amazon needs a soulI am tired of watching the bodies of children being laid to rest as a result of mass shootings, and the NRA's ferocious attack on anyone who stands up to say ENOUGH!! There are far too many people ignoring the fact that the 2nd amendment needs to be looked at, and there is a reason why the weapon of choice for these perpetrators, is called an ASSAULT RIFLE, not a Defensive weapon....they belong in the military, and NOT in the hands of civilians with evil intent.74 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sean Devine

Remove Speaker Paul RyanCurrent Speaker (GOP Leader) Paul Ryan is making a blanket statement "GOP will not look at gun control rather will look for system control". His is saying that "We shouldn’t be banning guns for law-abiding citizens,". Ryan see the need of military grade riffle on every law-abiding citizen. That is ludicrous and unhuman. I think it is time to replace Paul Ryan from the GOP leader post.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mazharul Haque

Educators against gunsAs an educator, I believe that there is no place for guns in our classrooms. I urge South Carolina legislators to keep our students and colleagues safe by opposing open carry laws and resisting calls to arm teachers.70 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gretchen Woertendyke

Teachers shall not be required to carry guns in schools.Trump suggested that teachers should carry guns in schools. Many teachers are totally against this. As a retired teacher, I would like to make our voices heard. Simple common sense actions should be taken right away to protect students and teachers. By discussing and listening to each other, additional actions can be taken.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rachel Hofferbert
