Current Speaker (GOP Leader) Paul Ryan is making a blanket statement "GOP will not look at gun control rather will look for system control". His is saying that "We shouldn’t be banning guns for law-abiding citizens,". Ryan see the need of military grade riffle on every law-abiding citizen. That is ludicrous and unhuman. I think it is time to replace Paul Ryan from the GOP leader post.

As an educator, I believe that there is no place for guns in our classrooms. I urge South Carolina legislators to keep our students and colleagues safe by opposing open carry laws and resisting calls to arm teachers.

Trump suggested that teachers should carry guns in schools. Many teachers are totally against this. As a retired teacher, I would like to make our voices heard. Simple common sense actions should be taken right away to protect students and teachers. By discussing and listening to each other, additional actions can be taken.

With mass shootings showing no sign of slowing and Congress unwilling to act we are asking corporate America to help. Bank of America loans millions to gun manufacturers allowing them to produce deadly weapons. We are asking Bank of America to stop loaning money to gun manufacturers until they come to the table to help curb the violence.

The NRA used to support reasonable gun laws. They no longer do so all pressure should be brought to bear in order to get reasonable gun laws. It is time our children stopped dying so the NRA can support gun manufacturers and politicians.

I am sick and tired of corporate sponsorship of the NRA. My son is starting Kindergarten this fall, and I refuse to see him leave school in a body bag. Xcel's HQ are in Minneapolis, the city I call home. I am NOT ok with their alliance with the NRA.

I am disturbed by the response of the NRA leadership in prioritizing political gains and profit over people's lives. By these actions the NRA is demonstrating that they are not eligible to continue as a tax exempt organization.

We must put an end to Donald Trump’s thoughtless proposal to arm teachers. My profession is to teach and nurture the love of learning, not to accidentally shoot my students.

I was horrified to read on Facebook - and verified through Snopes -that the NRA is registered as a tax-exempt organization. This is galling in the light of the millions it gives to make sure that our gun laws are weak and ineffective. At this time of #Neveragain it's time to end this.

We’ve got to focus on solutions that work! Every time a tragedy such as Parkland occurs, we debate online, then forget about it, fail to take action, and it happens all over again! Our kids fear that a routine fire drill could result in another school shooting! We are asking Governor Holcomb as well as the entire Indiana Senate to step up and protect our kids so that they can focus on their education instead of fearing a possible gunman in their school! The number of School Shootings continue to be on the rise yet very little has been done to keep our children safe! Secure Our Schools ! Increase funding in the Secured School Safety Program to address specific school safety needs within each school district. This includes school hardening measures like metal detectors, bullet-proof glass, steel doors, and upgraded locks. Establish funding to require access to dedicated mental health counselors to provide direct counseling services to students at every school. These counselors cannot serve dual roles, like teaching or academic advising. Every student must have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a mental health professional, and receive ongoing counseling as needed. Require law enforcement officers in every school. Require that each officer have mandatory active shooter training as outlined by the Department of Homeland Security.

To promote common sense gun legislation, ban assault weapons, and keep Florida safe.
