• Team Tyler
I have a severely non-verbal autistic grandson who is not getting proper care for his needs! I also am afraid of what will happen to him when he becomes an adult with no benefits or safety plan in place.

  • Give Doctors the power to diagnose and treat their patients the way they see fit!
I have been effected by this problem, as well as everyone who goes to my pain clinic. I have been told that I must retire by three different doctors because of my major and multiple spine problems and EDS, and that they are sorry they are barred from using effective medications for pain. I've heard that they have cut the veterans of the United States of America off completely at the VA hospitals. How can they treat all of us who have fought for our country with such cruelty?

  • Legalize marijuana in Tennessee
Raise tons of tax dollars for schools, stop imprisoning innocent people, and be the first southern state to make this logical and historic change for the betterment of our society as a whole.

  • Saving Lives Act
On average someone's dying every 13 minutes of overdose to heroin/opiates. Many of whom are under 21 yrs old. We NEED more doctors and more options for treatment and maintenance based treatment. Studies show that Suboxone and methadone based treatment saves lives.Unfortunately, there is just NOT enough programs to treat the growing numbers. We are advocating for funding to open more programs and ALLOW the cap of 100 patient's per provider to be increased to help serve the rapidly growing NEED!

  • Medicaid vs OUR CHILDREN
A new law will not allow parents to SAVE THEIR OWN CHILDREN! Even if your son or daughter had a addiction problem and you wanted to help them... If they have Medicaid, YOU CAN'T! I know it sounds absurd... IT IS and It's real! I personally lost two brothers to this terrible addiction and I know I cannot save them... We simply want to save the lives of those addicted without the "shackles" of bureaucracy. We KNOW we have saved MANY lives already but recent law changes for Medicaid Patients are literally sending REAL people.. our neighbors, friends, co-workers and relatives (sometimes unbeknownst to us) back to the streets and in the arms of the drug dealers. Please help by signing this petition NOW! Help us STOP THIS INSANITY! Thank you!

  • "Jessies Law" NH Citizens for changes on addiction and Recovery
NH ranks 49th in the nation for help for addicts, and the wait for beds is extremely long. Funding is almost non-existent for the care of our addicts and as a result our loved ones are dying daily from overdoses from the influx of heroin and other drugs. My 19-year-old niece was a heroin addict. She died 6/7/15 in a heroin-related car crash. If she had the opportunity to receive the proper help, then maybe Jessica would be here today! We need to create a system where citizens can get detoxed in a safe manner under medical care and without them going into withdrawals in some back alley somewhere. As a community we demand more funding, more detox treatment beds, more transitional housing, easier and shorter waits for a bed, intensive outpatient care and mental health care for these people. Sure it is going to cost money, but not as much as continuing to allow this epidemic to grow and get worse! We must consider the immeasurable price of the lives lost and the devastation it is bringing to the families of New Hampshire, which fails in comparison to actually helping those sick and suffering with the disease of addiction to receive proper treatment. Please sign this petition to support Jessie’s Law and let our Government know we demand immediate change!

  • Insist on CDC Whistleblower Hearings
Dear Congressman Mark Meadows. It is time. It is past time. We have known about Dr. William Thompson for a year now and it is time he has been given the chance, in a public forum, to testify to his experiences within the CDC, as a key scientist. Furthermore, to also expound on his statement regarding a particular study to which he co-authored: "My concern has been the decision to omit relevant findings in a particular study for a particular sub group for a particular vaccine. There have always been recognized risks for vaccination and I believe it is the responsibility of the CDC to properly convey the risks associated with receipt of those vaccines." The CDC needs to be transparent and all whistleblowers need to be heard so that we continue to have the best possible information to make decisions on public health issues. Confidence in you, our representative in Washington D.C., to address such an issue in the position that has been given to you is paramount and at the very foundation of why you were elected. Thank you for representing us.

  • NH Addiction Services need more funding
As an addict in recovery, I know the hurdles one must overcome to get help. New Hampshire has limited rehabilitation centers that take in low income/uninsured clients; organizations like Tri-CAP in Coos County have just consolidated their offices down to 2 locations, drug overdoses are on the rise, and street level education programs for HepC/AIDS and addictions are getting far and fewer between. New Hampshire receives $1.2 billion PER YEAR to go towards addiction, recovery, and drug treatment. We, the citizens, need to let Gov. Hassan know that we want this money to go to all the right places. Sign this petition so we can have our voices heard!

  • Support Massachusetts H.415 Emergency Stock Epinephrine in schools
Many children have their first Food Allergy reaction in the school setting. This medication could be a life-saving measure for those students not having access to the medication otherwise. A Massachusetts Emergency Stock Epinephrine Bill (H.430) was introduced in January 2013 which has undergone several revisions. It is currently re-filed as Bill H.415 and is awaiting a decision from the Healthcare Finance Committee to move forward. Please show your support by signing this petition to request that this Bill moves to the next level in the legislative process and encourage the Governor to sign it into Massachusetts General Law.

  • Adapted Vehicles are not a luxury
I'm a wheelchair dependent person. I'm personally facing replacing my current wheelchair lift at a cost of $4,000. - that's cheap compared to other wheelchair dependent people. Their adaptations can cost as much as the van. We are not asking for insurance to buy us vans. We just want them to pay to install the durable medical equipment necessary to remain active members of society.

  • SCOTUS Upheld Health Care Access, Now North Carolina Must Act
In February, when asked about his position on expanding Medicaid eligibility to more North Carolinians, Gov. McCrory said, “I will not make any recommendation as to whether or not we extend insurance for the uninsured until the court case because there are so many ramifications of the court case.” (News & Observer, 02/19/15) On June 25, 2015, the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, making it easier for millions of Americans to access affordable health care. Now we need Gov. McCrory to act. Expanding Medicaid in North Carolina could mean 407,000 more North Carolinans, including many families and children could have access to better health care. It’s time for Gov. McCrory to stand with women and families!
