Twitter: Stop Aiding in Trump’s Coup Attempt—Suspend @realdonaldtrumpJoe Biden has won the presidency. But the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, is attempting a coup. He has no plans to concede the race and instead is erratically spreading lies of “widespread voter fraud” and taking radical steps like firing his Secretary of Defense—like a true fascist leader. We knew this would happen but it doesn’t make it any less dangerous. Twitter is Trump’s most direct microphone to speak to the American People. It’s time that microphone be turned off for the good of the People. Enough is enough. We can’t wait until Jan 20. Twitter must suspend Donald Trump and his enablers now.423 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Benjamin O'Keefe

Dr. Fauci, Resign and Speak Your Mind!If Trump is re-elected, many more people will die. If Biden is elected there will be a Federal response to the pandemic that will be based in science and thereby effectively save people that Trump's malignant neglect will condemn to death. Your current position on the Task Force leaves you beholden to the President and forces you to blunt your warnings to the American people. But as in other epidemics, silence = death! As directed by the Hippocratic oath, by basic ethics, and by your evident compassion for the plight of all peoples, you cannot continue in this compromised position. You can't control Trump, but plain speaking directly to the American people will save thousands of lives. We call on you to resign and speak your mind plainly and without equivocation.22 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dan Lloyd

Public Notice from University of Chicago Medical School Faculty and AlumsWe alumni, faculty and current students of University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, wish to make it known that we believe that medical science conflicts with several claims made and opinions expressed by Scott Atlas, class of 1981. At Pritzker, when we shift from lectures to clinics, a White Coat Ceremony is held, emphasizing honesty, integrity, ethics, compassion, and scientific rigor. These values are instilled in us throughout our tenure in medical school, and without them it seems one would neither be admitted nor permitted to graduate. For this reason we are shocked and dismayed to see an alum acting in such a way as Dr. Atlas. We do not support his policy recommendations that he says are backed by science. It is difficult to come to a positive conclusion about his motives when his incorrect statements fall so directly in line with a president that flouts science on a regular basis. Specifically, based on current scientific data, we support: 1) The use of masks to decrease the spread of SARS-CoV-2; 2) The use of extensive testing/tracking/surveillance strategies as a way to track COVID and prevent spread; 3) The closing of schools, institutions, or communities in cases where the spread exceeds the ability of the hospital system to care for those falling ill; 4) The use of personal and community-wide measures in addition to vaccines (if approved) to control spread as opposed to allowing spread without such measures. In all, we feel abandoned by our colleague, who is spreading false information to the world through the willing platform of news agencies and the president. We seek a future where science will stand for itself, unpoliticized, for the greater good of the people. Sincerely, The Students, Alumni and Faculty of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Judy Shatkin

Stop the ban of LGBTQ+ rights in the US.They want to revisit and ban the laws that gave us our rights in 2015 from the Obergefell v. Hodges case (ending at a 5:4 vote). We’ve spent so long fighting a debating for our HUMAN rights. It’s already been brought up in court with a 5:4 vote. Our rights are human rights. Why should we have them stripped away for simply loving who we love, and identifying the way we do? It is 2020 yet we’re going backwards. The fourteenth amendment guarantees protection and equality to ALL US citizens, where is that protection and equality now? Please sign this and SHOW that we won’t stop demanding equality in this country.387 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Evie Solowczuk

Support the Western Tribal Water Infrastructure ActAfter 40 years of a failed water infrastructure system, the community of Warm Springs desperately wants this great state of Oregon to help with the replacement of the water pumps, pipes, treatment systems, and sewers. The planning and services to help bring SAFE and HEALTHY water to the community of Warm Springs is estimated at $200 million. The Western Tribal Water Infrastructure Act extends funding to tribes in the Colorado Basin, which includes Warm Springs, Oregon. Your consideration of this bill and congressional influence in this matter will be invaluable and a significant step forward towards solving this crisis. As constituents of Oregon, members of the minority communities, and indigenous people of an American claimed land, WE strongly feel our kuleana (responsibility) is to teach our children ways we can best help our community and neighbors as part of our endeavor to follow our values, and help our community during a time of crisis. We hope to see your support of the Western Tribal Water Infrastructure Act. Plan for Maui to have a safer reopeningAs Maui County residents, it has become clear to us that the Governor has not done a sufficient job to mitigate and plan for COVID-19. We appreciate that our Mayor and County Council have been concerned and making efforts to protect Maui and keep us safe. We feel the current plan to welcome back tourists is very dangerous to our residents, as the state is not prepared to reopen safely. The single test plan will allow too many positive cases to slip through, and we have already seen how a few cases quickly and exponentially grow beyond what can be controlled or managed with our limited medical and public health resources, including contact tracing. We understand that our economy needs to reopen, but if we do not reopen SAFELY, we will find ourselves in the position of having to shut down again just in time to miss out on the winter holiday travel season. Meanwhile, we risk having our caseload grow and overwhelm our ONLY hospital. Why should allowing mainlanders to vacation here without the hassle of a quarantine take precedence over making it safe for our keiki to have in person school, sports, and extracurricular activities. The current state plan will hurt our keiki, our kupuna, and our hospitality workers.197 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Cara Flores

Candidates Must Publicly Release All Their COVID-19 Test Results To Participate In DebatesChris Wallace, the moderator of the first presidential debate of the 2020 election, said that Donald Trump was not tested for COVID-19 before participating in the debate because he didn't show up on time. In fact, presidential candidates were accepted on the honor system and were not expected to show their coronavirus tests results to anyone. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Three days after the debate, Trump tested positive for COVID-19, and it's not clear whether he had already been infected at the time of the debate. Despite Trump’s positive test, and hospitalization, Trump nor the White House will release any information about his tests prior to Thursday’s positive test. Including when his last negative test was. And now, Donald Trump, who is currently infected with the coronavirus, is stating that he is ready to debate Joe Biden again. The CDC recommends that anyone who was admitted to a hospital and needed oxygen should stay in isolation for up to 20 days after their symptoms first appeared due to the risk of infection for others and should have 2 negative coronavirus tests in a row to be in the clear. No one should be put at risk again or have their word accepted on the honor system when it comes to a global pandemic, especially after Donald Trump has already potentially exposed numerous people to the coronavirus as a result of his irresponsible behavior. As a safety precaution, the Commission on Presidential Debates, the organization tasked with coordinating the general election debates, must take immediate action to ensure the safety of candidates and everyone attending the upcoming vice presidential and presidential debates. The vice presidential debate is scheduled for October 7, and the two remaining presidential debates are planned for October 15 and October 22. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the debates have become a life-or-death situation. The health of the presidential and vice presidential candidates and the safety of all involved in the debates are on the line. We cannot take this lightly.290 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Doug Gordon

Tell Mnuchin & Pompeo: No new sanctions on Iran! The Trump administration is considering adding more sanctions on Iran. Existing sanctions are already hurting the ability of people in Iran to access critical healthcare in the face of COVID-19. The pandemic has killed more than 27,000 and the country is once again shut down in the face of a new and terrifying COVID wave. These new measures would only exacerbate the humanitarian crisis the Iranian people are currently facing. Maximum pressure has meant maximum failure. Urge Secretaries Mnuchin and Pompeo: No new sanctions on Iran!151 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Win Without War
