• Say NO to funding Trump's wall, deportation force and detention camps.
In addition to the wall, Trump wants to vastly expand detention camps to lock up more immigrants including families seeking asylum, put more agents on the border, expand raid operations that will terrorize communities, and re-direct more federal funds toward prosecution of immigration violations. These rubber-stamp convictions are intended to warp the statistics and bolster their hate-fueled propaganda portraying immigrants as criminals. Trump is building out a police state, in part through his Deportation Force, so that any challenges to his dystopian detention and deportation nightmare can be swiftly and forcefully suppressed. Already under Trump, we have seen chaos at our airports and in our communities. That chaos and cruelty would only be magnified if Trump gets his way, but in order to implement these plans, he needs more money. We have the power to say NO. Tell Senate Democrats--especially leadership and members of the Appropriations Committee--to say NO to funding for Trump’s Deportation Force.

  • Stop Funding of US Southern Border Wall!
Resist Trump's push for wall funding by next week or else he will withdraw funding from medical care. If they refuse to fund the border wall this week, he is threatening to veto the bill and shut down the government. He is also telling Democrats that he will withdraw federal dollars from Obamacare subsidies if they don't fall in-line as well.

  • Congress Should Not Support the Building of the Wall on the U.S. and Mexico Border With Our Tax D...
Because we should not forget that Ronald Regan, a Republican, begged Soviet Premier Gorbachev to tear down the Wall that divided Berlin. Who do we think we are using my tax payer money to build a wall that the majority of Americans do not want. Use our tax dollars to help America and Americans.

  • Tell Secretary Kelly: Bring DACA-recipient Juan back from Mexico!
On February 17, Juan Manuel Montes was walking to a taxi stand in his hometown in California when he was approached by border officials and asked for his papers. Though Juan was legally authorized to live and work in America through the DACA program, he was deported to Mexico just hours later. This is a direct consequence to Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda and the acts of an unaccountable agency. Juan Manuel must be reunited with his family in California as soon as possible. Join us in demanding Secretary Kelly take immediate action.

  • Councilman Sam Zurier- Pass the CSA!
The Community Safety Act is the product of years of work and compromise by Providence activists. This legislation will help protect the Providence community, specifically people of color and undocumented immigrants. Provisions include making Providence a sanctuary city BY LAW, preventing police from harassing civilians who are recording police legally, and more.

  • General Amnesty to All Illegal Immigrants in CALIFORNIA
Years ago I read about a grandfather who received a parking ticket and rather than mail it in, he went to the police station to pay it and INS was waiting for him. He had lived here for 50 YEARS but was deported and torn away from his wife, their children, AND their grandchildren. I never forgot this. There are children who have not seen their mothers or fathers in YEARS! When the Laws are unfair & incomplete & remain unchanged, then a NEW path to both Citizenship and New LAW for AMNESTY needs to immediately step in to Remove the INJUSTICE! Either we Stand for Justice, Equality, Freedom with Ethics and Integrity we like to "think" we possess as Americans, or we do not, but IF we do then AMNESTY FOR ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS NEEDS TO BE GRANTED NOW plus Pressure for New Legislation which allows the "deported" to return and an EASY and CLEAR PATH to Citizenship. Not all Immigrants have a 21 yr old child to sponsor them, nor especially mothers and fathers, but they have brothers and sisters and cousins and then there are ALL THE EMPLOYERS who should upon hiring sign a document stating that they will SPONSOR their Employee after three years and, in case there are those employers who might use this document as a form of blackmail, they will have to sign and give a similar document to the immigrant employee, signed and dated, that they (employer) will do so under Penalty of Law and a hefty FINE (to be determined by the State Legislature) if the employer defaults or attempts to extend the Three Year Date!

  • Governor Jerry Brown: Support the Calfornia Values Act
The California Values Act will help all of us be safe. People who are undocumented can contact law enforcement when they are victimized or witness a crime. This makes us all safer. If people who are undocumented are fearful of the law, then all of us will suffer. California must stand up to Trump and stop the state’s law enforcement personnel from being part of Trump’s Mass Deportation Army.

  • Petition for Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich to Withdraw Arizona Support for Trump's Musli...
ACLU: The United States Constitution forbids the government from discriminating on the basis of religion. Trump's executive order is motivated by bias against Muslims, as confirmed by the President’s own public statements, as well as the absence of any rational justification for the categorical exclusion of individuals from the seven identified nations or the complete ban on refugees from around the world. The religious discrimination involved in the Executive Order is inconsistent with the bedrock Establishment Clause and equal protection principle that the government should never favor one religion over another. The order profoundly, directly and irreparably harms people throughout the United States, destabilizing the lives of thousands of individuals and their families – including those seeking to live, find refuge, visit, study or work in the State of Arizona. Under the Order, US citizens and legal permanent residents are unable to maintain their relationships with their families when their family members are denied entry at our borders. Those fleeing persecution cannot find a safe harbor here. And workers and students with valid visas will lose their right to live, work, and study here if they travel abroad.

  • Oppose 287(g) in Knox County
287(g) is an immigration enforcement program that deputizes local law enforcement to act as immigration officials. Research shows that 287(g) erodes community trust in local police and sheriff's offices, drains local resources, and separates families. It, also, leads to significant increase in civil rights violations and racial profiling. Knox County in particular with its already long history of civil rights violations, racial profiling, and jail overcrowding, would be a terrible candidate for such a program. Thus, Knox County Sheriff's Office's Application for 287(g) should be opposed. Sign this petition and TIRRC's letter to Secretary Kelly and Acting Director Homan to deny Knox County's 287(g) application.
