• Rep. Salmon: Support Families in Your District
Rep. Matt Salmon, recently said that "reforming our immigration system to address the status of the 11 million people in our country illegally should focus on normalizing their legal status." While Rep. Salmon’s words are a step forward in the right direction, they just aren't enough to fix our broken system. First, real immigration reform must have an earned path to citizenship for the 11 million. Second, we’re tired of words. It’s time for House Republicans to act. Speaker John Boehner and Republican leaders are blocking reform, saying that they won’t hold a vote unless most Republicans in Congress support it. Congress is supposed to vote on things that have support from the majority of people, not just one party or the other. And right now a majority of Americans support a path to citizenship. We need Republicans like Rep. Salmon to listen to them. Democrats in the House have just introduced a bill that can get bipartisan support. If Rep. Salmon is truly serious about fixing our broken system, we need him to sign onto that bill and support an earned path to citizenship for the 11 million. Click here to tell Rep. Salmon to cosponsor the immigration bill with a path to citizenship in the House!

  • Rep. Nunes: Please Cosponsor the New House Immigration Bill
House Democrats have broken Speaker John Boehner's deadlock and introduced an immigration bill with a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million without papers. So far, over 150 House Democrats have signed on as cosponsors! But in order to get this bill past the finish line, we're going to need Republican support. The good news is that it's there. Your district's representative in the House, Congressman Devin Nunes, is one of the 26 House Republicans who support a path to citizenship. His support for this bill could be the tipping point for our movement. If he becomes the first Republican to sign on, we know more of his colleagues in his party will build up the courage to follow. With a path to citizenship within reach, we need to get Rep. Nunes off the fence and onto our side. He needs to join the more than 150 House members and cosponsor this new immigration bill! We need you and other advocates in your district to pressure Rep. Nunes into supporting this bill. If we get Rep. Nunes on board, your district could make all the difference for the millions without papers across the nation. The momentum is on our side because enough votes exist in the House to pass reform today. But instead Speaker Boehner hides behind excuses, delays, and flat-out refuses to give us a vote. We've come too far to stop now. Tell Rep. Nunes to stand up for his district by cosponsoring this new immigration bill in the House and passing the path to citizenship for the 11 million!

  • Continue to support Immigration Reform
Stop breaking families apart. Multiple US citizen children are being tortured by having their parents in jail for minimum crimes such as not having a license, or simply not being told they are able to get one in our home state.
