Ask the DOJ to Sue the Cincinnati Police Department under the RICO ACT as a Criminal EnterpriseWiki : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racketeer_Influenced_and_Corrupt_Organizations_Act I am deeply affected by all the murders of my brothers and sisters in the hands of corrupt police. I lived through the LA Riots. It was very sad. #SamDubose - Cincinatti - The video of police killing of Sam Dubose is apparently so bad, Cincinnati is preparing for riots, " "police chief said he had seen the video, and he said “the video is not good.” “It’s not a good situation, I think that’s clear, and it will become evident once that video is shown,” said Chief Jeffrey Blackwell, of Cincinnati police. “We’re just trying to do our best to be prepared for whatever might come out of it.”" The Police Unions need to support this petition. There needs to be systematic change. We want to see more police videos helping the homeless.. walking old women across the street.. these are the great police and the wonderful work they do for us. Sign Now! This worked under RICO: About June 1984, the Key West Police Department located in the County of Monroe, Florida, was declared a criminal enterprise under the federal RICO statutes after a lengthy United States Department of Justice investigation. Several high-ranking officers of the department, including Deputy Police Chief Raymond Cassamayor, were arrested on federal charges of running a protection racket for illegal cocaine smugglers.[18] At trial, a witness testified he routinely delivered bags of cocaine to the Deputy Chief's office at City Hall. This did not work: In April 2000, Federal judge William J. Rea in Los Angeles, ruling in one Rampart scandal case, said that the plaintiffs could pursue RICO claims against the LAPD, an unprecedented finding. The idea that a police organization could be characterized as a racketeering enterprise shook up City Hall and further damaged the already-tarnished image of the LAPD. However, in July 2001, U.S. District Judge Gary A. Feess said that the plaintiffs do not have standing to sue the LAPD under RICO because they are alleging personal injuries, rather than economic or property damage. **The focus must be on economics. The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly referred to as the RICO Act or simply RICO, is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization. The RICO Act focuses specifically on racketeering, and it allows the leaders of a syndicate to be tried for the crimes which they ordered others to do or assisted them, closing a perceived loophole that allowed a person who instructed someone else to, for example, murder, to be exempt from the trial because he did not actually commit the crime personally.[1] RICO was enacted by section 901(a) of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970 (Pub.L. 91–452, 84 Stat. 922, enacted October 15, 1970), and is codified at 18 U.S.C. ch. 96 as 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961–1968. G. Robert Blakey, an adviser to the United States Senate Government Operations Committee, drafted the law under the close supervision of the committee's chairman, Senator John Little McClellan. It was enacted as Title IX of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970, and signed into law by Richard M. Nixon. While its original use in the 1970s was to prosecute the Mafia as well as others who were actively engaged in organized crime, its later application has been more widespread. Beginning in 1972, 33 States adopted state RICO laws to be able to prosecute similar conduct. Those found guilty of racketeering can be fined up to $25,000 and sentenced to 20 years in prison per racketeering count. In addition, the racketeer must forfeit all ill-gotten gains and interest in any business gained through a pattern of "racketeering activity." Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. Enacted in most states in 1972/1973. No More Background ChecksYes, I made a mistake, but why can't I can't get a foot back into society because of my record? I did the time and it still doesn't count because to be honest on an application just to get another no! just isn't fair. Remove background checks from applications so people can lead productive, honest lives.18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brittany Cason

Sandra Bland's Full complete autopsyThe autopsy of Sandra Bland was incomplete. We need to prove that it was murder. WThe District Attorney of Waller County said the autopsy was incomplete although Sandra Bland was released to her family. There is suspicion that Sandra Brown was murdered and there is a cover-up. Another autopsy has been done and we believe an independent autopsy is needed ASAP. Here's what Donald Mersel wrote about it: To Get Justice for Sandra Bland.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pastor AL

Defend Planned ParenthoodRemember the people who dressed up as a pimp and a whore to try to wrongfully entrap ACORN a number of years ago and also did a parallel sting on Planned Parenthood? The SAME basic people are behind the elaborate multi-year sting operation which surfaced the other day as a deceptively edited video that so many Republican presidential contenders are going all demagogue about. The costumed entrappers were lucky to have been granted immunity from prosecution for their various illegal recordings before. And we hear the Justice Department is not taking these new incidents lightly.66 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ron Mills

Decriminalize Driving with a Suspended LicenseWhile not paying a ticket is highly irresponsible it certainly isn't criminal. We are wasting space in our city and county jails housing traffic offenders. It also provides a tool used for discrimination by officers who have ulterior agendas and has been for decades. This is a civil matter, not criminal. People driving on a suspended license should not be sent to the same place as people who steal, kill, rape, sell drugs, and carry guns. There are other options available to collect debt. Incarceration is not the answer, furthermore incarceration doesn't even clear the debt. Once released, violators still owe the city. This perpetuates a vicious, unproductive cycle. More affordable payment programs should be in place to help offenders correct the issue. Instead, GC services , the DMV and Court Divisions make it virtually impossible for a person with low income to recover from even a small infraction, which leads to a suspended license , a towed vehicle and imprisonment. Even the funds obtained from the sale of the towed vehicle are not applied to the debt owed. This is unacceptable and has been going on too long. Lets change it15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Keshia Cotton

Third-party investigator for traffic stopsBecause of the recent events regarding police encounters resulting in questionable deaths and incarceration, a new, independent agency should be set up to not only review these cases but, most importantly, be just a phone call away and respond when a citizen is in jeopardy and feels like their rights are being violated. We should call this SandrasCall in honor and in the memory of Sandra Bland. We would like to institute a three-digit code (similar to 911 or 411) that citizens can call, and it will instantly connect to this independent third-party review team consisting of lawmakers, servants of the law, and citizens. All active arrests at that time will cease, and law enforcement will desist until the independent team arrives and review the actions of both officers and citizens.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Diane Sewell

RestorativeJustice for Sandra BlandRestorative justice is a vision for reform of the criminal justice system. Violent attacks on people of color have increased dramatically in the last year. All citizens in the U.S. should be treated fairly and equally under the law. The case of Sandra Bland must be investigated.
