  • PETITION FOR HUMANE TREATMENT OF PRISONERS AT WAUPUN CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION (WCI)
I have been doing prisoner advocacy for 15 years and have been working on this specific issue for over a year and a half and found noone listening or caring. The Center for Investigative Journalism (www.wisconsinwatch.org) has done series on the abuse and now we must demand an independent investigation. Both staff and prisoners are harmed in this situation and it is our responsibility to help.

To allow for minimum state inmates monthly father visits so they can interact with their children. Where they can play ball, sit in the grass, build with blocks, and just interact with their children.

  • Revise the Laws that hold non viloent offenders locked away for years and in many cases a lifetime.
We have a mandate to turn the tide, now. Our laws do not reflect the belief or desires of more than a majority the people. Certain organizations, i.e. MADD , have caused the pendulum to swing much to far, leaving us with a knee jerk reaction to a crime, in place of a reasonable approach to a real problem. The mandatory sentence for offenses exceed the sentence given to violent criminals for crimes like rape and murder. We have huge numbers of persons locked away for what are non violent crimes, the punishment does not fit the crime. My 33 year old son is looking at 25 years to life for a DUI and as I look at the laws I am floored by the insanity. We have problems with "substance abuse" in our society, no doubt, but locking a person away does not address the problem. We need some changes in our laws so that justice is reflected in the sentences handed down to the humans that are suffering with such afflictions.

  • Free an innocent man
My petition is to bring my husband home a free man. He was wrongfully convicted. In 2009 our family was going on vacation to Galveston, Texas to spend some time with our best friends. My best friends' daughter and our daughter were best friends for 10 years. Their daughter practically lived with us as her parents worked all the time. We took her everywhere with us, including on vacation. Two weeks before we went on vacation, she shared with my husband and me that she had been messing around with a guy in the back of his pickup truck. She was about to have her very first womanly check up and knew that her parents could very well be about to find out she was no longer a virgin. We were gone on vacation for a little over a week. When we returned home she told her parents that my husband sexually assaulted her. We went to trial in August 2012. During the trial she was caught in several lies. She admitted that during the time she made these accusations she was having a consensual sexual relationship with a 35 year old man. Keep in mind she was only 14. She told the court that the only thing she slept in was a tank top and her panties. We produced a photo into evidence that was time stamped and dated and it was her sleeping in a T-shirt with a tank top under it and shorts. So while I now have 4 children at home to raise, she is out partying and drinking. We have always been good people. We just do not understand how something like this could have happened to us. Please, I beg of you to take the time to help me bring my husband home to us. He was incarcerated August 28, 2012. If you have any questions about any if this, including the case, please do not hesitate to ask me. Thank you in advance.

  • Happiness Petition!
According to Section 1 of the 13th Amendment of The Constitution, passed by Congress January 31, 1865, ratified December 6, 1865, "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." In today’s America, poverty and drug possession are treated as crimes. That’s what happens when you wage war on drugs and poverty. The victims and their families are just victims of warfare in which they have their power stripped from them—bad schools, no opportunity, no justice, little to no health care and imprisonment. It’s a completely one-sided war. So I have a question, should someone be subjected to slavery just because they’ve found themselves in such a desperate situation that they end up prostituting or addicted to drugs? What about smoking and/or selling a plant that once legalized made millions of dollars in taxes in one state in just a day? If you answered no, sign the petition so that we can win freedom for everyone. It's time for America to live up to its own standard. Check out the article below titled The Reality After MLK's Dream: An American Civil War to gain more insight on why we are so passionate about this issue http://www.authenticreflection.org/2/post/2014/01/the-reality-after-mlks-dream-modern-day-american-civil-war.html

  • Attorney General Holder: Investigate Florida Prison Deaths
On June 23, 2012 Darren Rainey, a 50-year-old mentally ill state prison inmate in Miami-Dade County, died after guards responded to his defecating in his cell by locking him into a 180-degree shower for two hours—at which point his skin was separating from his body. Local police, and the state, failed to properly investigate. The case was only brought to light in recent months by The Miami Herald. After two years, no one has been held criminally accountable, or even charged. Only the U.S. Department of Justice can properly investigate this terrible crime, and a broader culture of abuse in Florida’s prisons that has led to other unnecessary deaths, and which falls especially hard on the mentally ill.

  • Jersey City Cop Attempts To Start Civil War
We the people demand the full dismissal of the Jersey City Police Officer who distributed false information about the bloods street gang issuing a general threat of violence and murder against police officers around the state. Such action only serves to promote and escalate violence in Jersey City. This officer, who is allowed to remain anonymous, has put the lives of his fellow officers and the people of the community that he swore to protect at risk. Police officers have a difficult time as it is with policing urban communities without additional terrorist threats looming overhead. The rumors that were spread turned every resident of that community into a terrorist and gave license for every officer for indiscriminate use of force. We the people, do not want this office to be disciplined. We do not want him behind a desk. We do not want him on suspension. We do not want him directing traffic. We want this officer be fully removed from the ranks of the Jersey City Police Department with no pension. We the people also request that a full investigation be done to his work prior to this recent discovery to ensure that has said officer has not done this before and to ensure that any arrests he made were not false. We also request this be done at the expense of the officer. We the people have spoken.
