• The Problem with Detroit
Is actually rampant, unchecked crime because of the small number of police officers. When we call 911, there is no hope of the police showing up.

  • Non-Violent Felonies
My daughter has taken the blame for money being stolen at a local court clerk's office & now has a non-violent felony on her record; she is to complete probation until restitution is paid in full, but a non-violent felony will be forever burned into her record, but if the records of non-violent felonies could be expunged off the person records after a few years after completion of probation or parole and completion of any/all fines or restitutions have been paid then it could save my daughter's rights to a new start!

  • Timely Prosecution of Individuals That Admit to a Homicide
My son's wife was killed in Fulton County by her 18 year old son. That night he admitted to setting her up, taking three days to plan the homicide, and then killing her. It has been a failure of the judicial system and a failure of the Fulton Counties District of Attorney's Office to fulfill their duties. What this leaves is the people around this case to not be able to have some type of closure. The homicide was committed in June 2009, so 3.5 years later we still do not have a court date. This is unacceptable. Our judicial system needs changed to help the victims and families of victims get a timely resolution and to put closure to the event.

  • Repeal Laws That Hurt Ex-Felons
I am an ex-felon who has been off of parole for 15 years. Yet, I still have to report that I have been convicted of a felony each time I fill out an application for employment. Having to list my prior criminal record (writing bad checks) causes employers to focus on my past conviction instead of my ability to do the job. Our tax dollars should not be used to fund agencies that keep hardworking citizens who have paid their debt to society out of the workforce. Helping ex-felons succeed and re-enter society without the plethora of civil disabilities should be the aim of these taxpayer funded agencies.

  • Demand a Full Investigation for Other Participants in the Aurora Shooting and Fait Treatment of S...
Ever since I heard about the shooting that occurred in Aurora, Colorado on July 20th, 2012, I have been following the case. This is a devistating event for not only the shooting victims and their families, but the entire nation. As I obtained information on the alleged shooter and the evidence collected, I noticed that there were a lot of missing pieces and strange twists. Many other individuals feel this way about the case against James Holmes. Basically, I feel that information is missing pertaining to other suspects that might have been involved in the shooting. I feel that the suspect, James Eagan Holmes, did not act alone or possibly did not act in this crime at all. I am also concerned about the treatment James Holmes is receiving while incarcerated in Arapahoe County jail.

Need to change the law that after 20 years should be reevaluted to get a regular liscense reinstated. with no restrictions. To help them get to work and live a normal life. I feel people can murder people , Rob or domestic violence have more rights than a person with DUI's is never forgivin. People can change and deserve a new start after time.
