  • Legalize and regulate marijuana
Marijuana is a naturally occurring substance with proven medicinal use, while for recreational use safer than alcohol and less addictive than tobacco. Yet, legally it is treated like a harmful drug. The needless violence due to its illegal status and waste of resources in prosecuting its users and producers far outweighs the risks potentially associated with its responsible consumption. Legal availability will make Vermont even more attractive to young adults who come here to ski and ride, roughly half of whom are regular users. http://www.drugscience.org/States/VT/VT.pdf

  • Mr. President and Governors, Grant Clemency
The President and our governors turn their backs on men and women in prison. It used to be that thousands of clemency petitions were granted in a year. In the past four years the President has granted only 22 -- but he's pardoned eight turkeys.

  • Fire Tom Horne
Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne should be asked to step down. He has looked the other way when Jan Brewer swept over $50 million dollars into her budget that was slated from the Federal Government to go to struggling home owners duped in the housing mortgage banking schemes. He is under Federal investigation for improper election results and a marital affair and a hit and and run he did not admit to. His actions and behaviors are not legal and he should have to resign his post.,

  • Make all forms of animal cruelty a felony
We've heard stories of innocent cats and dogs being abused by their owners or someone else in some of the most inhumane ways. No more misdemeanors- justice for the animals, we need to make all forms of animal cruelty a felony, punishable by 5-15 years in prison, plus a lifetime ban from ever owning any animal, upon release from prison.

  • Legalize It Bama
I am tired of the stigma associated with marijuana. It is less harmful and dangerous than either alcohol or tobacco. Marijuana should be legalized and regulated also. Let's end the prohibition on this plant

  • Make Fines Affordable
Back in 1989 I received a ticket for not wearing a seat belt and paid a fine of $37 Dollars and I have worn one ever since. It didn't take a fine over $100 dollars to make me comply. A simple speeding ticket of over 10 miles per hour will cost about $200 and affect insurance premiums and that can mean no food or gas for the average american or jail time and family injury for a simple traffic infraction????????
