Tell MSNBC: Fire "Morning Joe" hosts for supporting Trump's hate and violenceMSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are using their positions as TV commentators to actively support Donald Trump’s candidacy – and they just got caught. They recently used their position on MSNBC to hold a “town hall” with only Trump. That’s bad enough, but a recording just leaked of Scarborough and Brzezinski talking in between commercial breaks, like friends who are on the same team. Brzezinski asks whether she should ask questions about deportation: “Do you not want me to do, the um, the ones with, um, deportation?” Trump says “Nothing too hard, Mika,” and Mika says “Okay.” No questions about deportation were asked. At another point, Trump says “This will make us all look good,” to which Scarborough replies “Exactly.” Scarborough and Brzezinski aren’t coming right out and saying they’re for Trump. Instead, they’re using their position on MSNBC to act like journalists, but shape media coverage so that it helps Trump. It’s completely unacceptable, especially given Trump’s racist demonization of Latinos, and his encouragement of violence against those who oppose him. It's an embarrassment for the network and it should embarrass corporate sponsors that their money is reinforcing hate, racism and violence. Join us in telling executives at NBC and MSNBC that if they want to have any credibility with Latinos, they need to take Scarborough and Brzezinski off the air, and replace them with someone who will challenge Trump’s violent and racist rhetoric, not support it.209 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Presente.org

Tell St. Louis Archbishop: Don't kick Girl Scouts out of churchesWith cookie season in full swing, the archbishop of St. Louis is asking Catholic parishes to end a century-old tradition of hosting Girl Scout troops. Archbishop Robert Carlson claims that the Girl Scouts are "increasingly incompatible with our Catholic values" because of tenuous connections to organizations like Oxfam and Amnesty International whose political views he disagrees with. Despite conducting a lengthy witch hunt, the archbishop and his staff found nothing happening in local troops that he objected to. Unfortunately, that didn't stop him from writing a misleading letter to priests and troop leaders which makes plenty of vague accusations but omits the simple fact that the Girl Scouts don't take positions on controversial issues like abortion. More than 4,000 Girl Scouts meet in Catholic churches in the St. Louis area. They don't deserve to be held hostage to Archbishop Carlson's culture-war politics.36 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Sherrard, Faithful America

Stop anti-gay legislationI'm starting this petition first off because I'm a strong supporter of equal rights for everyone. This bill directly effects me and would allow discrimination against me because of the people I am attracted to. I think it is immoral for people to discriminate against someone because they do not fall directly in line with someone else's beliefs.30 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Codey Hawkins

STOP THE CYCLE! #Justice for LucyStop the Cycle ! it's a movement to make a mandatory new law to stop the cycle of domestic violence and sexual abuse on women/men and children (especially children with ADHD or other disabilities). This new law is for the abuser to be psychologically evaluated and to attend mandatory anger management , parenting classes, family counseling, to be assign with a health coach and personal private counseling in hope to reunite family members, child and parent. This new law is especially target for abusers with a confirmed past of childhood trauma, abandonment, neglect, physical and sexual abuse plus a record of past domestic violence . This will help STOP the CYCLE of continuing mental and physical abuse on the next generation of victims and children. I am a survivor of domestic violence from an abuser that refused and still refuses to attend anger management , family therapy, and counseling. The abuse continued and my daughter was sexually abused. Because the abuser denies it, her voice is not being heard because of ADDHD . We continue to receive mental abuse and bullying from abuser that is in denial and refuses to receive help. Together we can prevent further abuse with a mandatory new law for healing. Senate to advise and consent on Supreme Court nomineeThere are too many important issues before the Supreme Court to tolerate a vacancy of almost a year. President Obama was lawfully elected by the people of the United States and has the constitutional power to nominate a replacement for Justice Scalia and the Senate has the responsibility of advising and giving its consent to such a nominee.35 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Miller

Mississippi superdelegates: Let the people decide. The democratic process has been manipulated so much that many people have given up on the idea that their vote actually matters. We need our party to be reinvigorated by unity—and a pledge that we are all in this together. Superdelegates must stand behind the popular vote to ensure a Democratic win in November.239 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Ashley Brinkmeyer

Massachusetts superdelegates: Let voters decide!Keep democracy alive in the Democratic party! All Democratic party superdelegates should pledge to support the winner of the popular vote for the Democratic nomination. If supporters of either candidate walk away from this process believing that their votes do not count, then the democratic process is lost, and so is the hope for a win in November. Let the voters decide!4,972 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Hannah Kimberley

Tell Pennsylvania Super Delegates to let voters decide who they pledge toPeople think politicians do not care about the people. Super delegates give the people more reason to believe that. By ignoring the will of the voters, the voters in return will feel betrayed.49 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Frank Capria

Nebraska superdelegates: Support the will of the voters at the Democratic party convention! This year's race for the Democratic presidential nomination is closer than ever. So close, in fact, that the nomination could be decided by a few individuals whose "superdelegate" vote is disproportionately influential compared to the average citizen's. There are 712 superdelegates total (five of whom are from Nebraska), compared with 4,051 voter-elected delegates. To get a sense of the disproportionate power of a superdelegate, think of it this way: These 712 individual superdelegates get 712 convention votes (thus one convention vote per person). By contrast, 712 regular citizens have the equivalent of about 0.08 convention votes (giving one voter less than 1/1000 of the power of a superdelegate). In a nation where every citizen is supposed to have an equal say in the election process, this seems to go completely against how elections are meant to be run. Superdelegates, with great power comes great responsibility. Please don't abuse this power to swing the vote away from the people's choice. Pledge to support the candidate who gets the most pledged delegate votes, no matter who that may be.881 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Matthew Martin

Indiana Superdelegates: Let voters decide! If we're going to call this country a democratic republic, let's start acting like we mean it! There's no good reason why the citizen voters of Indiana shouldn't be able to decide between the candidates which they want to represent them.56 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Perry Thomas
