Declare CNN "Town hall" on January 25 a real "Debate"In the 2008 presidential primary, 18 debates were held before the Iowa caucus, the 2016 primary season only allows for 4 debates. Debating is a critical aspect of the democratic processes. Sanders, Clinton, and O’Malley have all called for more debates. The petition by Robert Reich calls for more debates and has nearly 120,000 signatures: http://act.democracyforamerica.com/sign/DNCdebates Debbie Wasserman Schultz has claimed that the reason more debates cannot be held is because the three candidates Sanders, Clinton, and O’Malley have very busy schedules. Despite their busy schedules, they have agreed to a Town Hall on January 25. http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/20/politics/hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders-martin-omalley-town-hall/ However, Town Halls have much lower viewership and contrived structures difficult for viewers to appreciate. In Town Hall settings, candidates are not allowed to respond to the accusations of their opponents. However, a debate allows for such lies to be called out for what they are. As a debate is no more demanding on candidate schedules than that of a town hall, we urge the DNC to declare January 25th a debate!220 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Francis Smart

Bernie, Please Challenge Hillary to Debate Before Iowa! The Democratic Party is perpetrating a great injustice on the American people — That by limiting the debates as they have, the electorate has been deprived of ample opportunity to evaluate the candidates.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gershon Siegel

.@PolitiFact: Correct the Record on Sanders & Pentagon SpendingIn the fourth Democratic presidential debate, Bernie Sanders said that "less than 10 percent" of the Pentagon budget "actually goes into fighting ISIS and international terrorism." [1] The purported fact-checking site PolitiFact rated Sanders' statement as "mostly false," [2] based on the claim that the share of Pentagon spending devoted to fighting international terrorism is a fundamentally unknowable fact. [3] But PolitiFact could have talked to experts on Pentagon spending who say Sanders' statement was "mostly true." Carl Conetta, director of the Project on Defense Alternatives [4], wrote: "MOSTLY TRUE. Website PolitiFact says 'mostly false,' but they're wrong. Got buffaloed by Pentagon flaks. I say 'mostly true' because less than 15% would be 'certainly true'... which is to say a nation with a $90 billion defense budget devoted entirely to counter-terrorism operations could surely accomplish what we have - although they'd do it differently. Another way to look at this would be to ask, How much could we cut the budget if our terrorism concerns receded to the level of 1990? DoD would almost surely say, 'less than 10 percent.'" [5] Urge PolitiFact to correct the record by signing our petition. Let Sophomores Drive to SchoolMy son Jason is a sophomore at SHS and is one of the older students in 10th grade. Jason and many other sophomores are involved in multiple after school activities. We don't think it's fair that these students that have their driver's licenses are denied the ability to drive to school. There are plenty of parking spaces available that no one is using.45 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Julie Delozier

#NoTrustInKeepseagleKeepseagle Class Action Lawsuit was a discrimination case against the US Department of Agriculture settled for $760 Million for Native American Farmers. $380 Million remains unpaid out. It should go directly to Native American Farmers and NOT indirectly through "newly formed" Nonprofits (not meeting the original Cy Pres requirements of having served class members prior to the settlement) and Universities for Agricultural Programs and Service workshops and seminars. Thousands of Native American Farmers were denied and continue to be denied an opportunity to participate due to lack of/poor outreach and Federal policies which fail to fully recognize and provide programs & services to State Recognized and Non-Federally Recognized Tribes . Pay the Farmers NOT Nonprofits! #NoTrustInKeepseagle #TellJoeNo #PayTheFarmers I have been contacted by Ms. Beverly Collins Hall (American Indian Mothers) who represents 30 prevailing claimants, as well as 1000's of denied claimants and potential claimants to provide advocacy and outreach to Native American Farmers in North Carolina and Nationwide because they have been done a great disservice by the US Department of Agriculture and Keepeagle Class Counsel. Too many (thousands) of Native American Farmers (as defined in the Keepseagle class action lawsuit who do not meant the eligibility criteria as established and defined as "Native American Farmers" according to the USDA Office of Tribal Relations thus the discrimination at USDA continues) who have been left behind and left out of the Keepseagle Settlement process. It took an Act of Congress for Black Farmers who were denied an opportunity to participate in the Black Farmers case hence there was a Black Farmers Late Filers (2nd round) claims process which compensated over 17,000 additional Black Farmers . Unlike the Black Farmers case, Keepseagle has $380 million leftover so funds remain available and there should be a Keepseagle II not requiring an Act of Congress or additional funding. Native American Farmers are still losing land/farms and struggling to be competitive. Please help us tell Keepeagle Class Counsel Joe Sellers and U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan - Keepseagle for Farmers NOT Nonprofits! We don't need Trustees!!!32 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kara boyd

COLLEGE STUDENTS WANT MANDATORY MEAL PLANS ABOLISHED.. - ***remember to share if you actually wan...Our Constitution demands that Stephen F. Austin, with all colleges nation wide, respect and give way to a student's right of choice, and that that choice not be made under duress and intimidation masked through "policy" If your RIGHT to a choice has been denied, and your money taken by a college you're attending, or have attended, or maybe you know someone who has been violated by a mandatory meal plan policy, or you simply know this is not right, then join me in petitioning our officials: local, state, federal, and even the President, to protect american college students from these bullies and restore the college student's constitutional right to freedom of CHOICE!!! I am a Mother... of a student attending Stephen F. Austin University (Texas) who is being forced to pay for a meal plan she does not want or need. The policy is that every student who resides on campus is obligated to purchase a $1,478.00 meal plan (per semester). That's about $3,000 a year. Most college students will have acquired about $20,000 of debt in just their first year alone! So, why are they forced to shell out $3,000 a year for something that they neither want or need? At the end of the day, anyway you slice it, it is the responsibility of the student and not the university to repay the debt. RIGHT??? So how is the mandatory meal plan a benefit to the educational goal of the student? The universities cannot define that personally for the student. They can only define how it will benefit the university, and they are doing that by fattening their wallets! Not even elementary, middle, or high school students, are forced to participate in a "mandatory" lunch plan; and they are minors! If children have the right to eat in the cafeteria, bring their lunch, or go to lunch with mom or dad, should not college students, who are legally adults, be given and entrusted with the right to choose where they eat and how they pay for it? What the universities are doing, and indeed have been given the right to do, is not only "UNJUST" but cruel, unusual, ridiculous, and "LEGAL THEFT"... When is an american citizen not given the right /freedom to choose how their money is spent?? Mandatory meal plans threaten and insult not only the very reason why our soldiers honorably fight and give their lives, but clearly belittle the intelligence of the student, by quietly telling them "You are not capable handling the responsibility of choosing what you eat." Our constitution demands that mandatory meal plans be "ABOLISHED" from all universities, and demand that they give respect and choice back to the students--the very reason they even have jobs. I am asking, that you fight with me to eliminate mandatory meal plans not only from Stephen F. Austin University ( Texas), but Colleges everywhere in America. IT IS MY MONEY!!!! - Mae Blondell47 of 100 SignaturesCreated by christopher biagioni
