The forefathers of the USA have President's Day and some of them even have their own personal holidays too, besides having a President's Day. It is now time and long overdue for OUR Forefathers of Turtle Island to also be HONORED. We want a recognized day of remembrance of our Chiefs for their leadership, bravery and all that they gave for their people's future.

We do not want this facility in our neighborhood or any other additional facilities of this kind. We want you to know that we will stand in opposition, with the area businesses, faith-based and community organizations. Our neighborhood is already ridden with crime, and plagued with despair and hopelessness. A facility of this type will only add to the negativity we are trying to combat and will put the safety of our children, families, neighbors, businesses, and worshipers at risk. Prince George's County Deserves Better!

As the parent of a 3rd grader who has been invited to participate in the Georgia Day Parade, I find it offensive and demeaning to myself and my child. To re-enact history, children were not allowed to associate freely. Therefore this parade and the associated celebrations need to be discontinued immediately. Tax payers funds are being used to facilitate the recognition of a period of time when slavery and the abuse of black persons was not only accepted and legal but also encouraged. As there is no parade to commemorate the Holocaust, there should be none to draw attention to a grievous period of time in Georgia's history. As history denotes, blacks were not afforded the same privileges as whites. There were no blacks celebrating anything with whites back then, and if we are going to re-enact history then it should be done correctly. I would instead suggest that students be given the opportunity to dress up as the career professionals they aspire to be and embrace a positive forecast for their futures.

Donald Trump has repeatedly belittled Latinos, Muslims, Black people, women and people with disabilities with his hate speech, misogyny, Islamophobia, and racism. This has greatly inflamed a national atmosphere already hostile to these groups and is inspiring a dramatic rise in harassment and violent attacks against these groups. Now companies like Google, AT&T, Coca Cola, Cisco, Xerox, and Adobe Systems are planning to bankroll the Donald Trump-led Republican National Convention. But reports are showing that many of these companies are growing increasingly concerned about attaching their brand to anything involving Trump and his divisive rhetoric. With a nonviolent public push from us, we can convince these companies to dump their sponsorships. And if these companies cancel their RNC sponsorships it could put enough financial pressure on the Republican Party and the RNC to bar Trump from the convention!

Our petition addresses a giant gap in the need for hands on advocates in dealing with corporations, wealth persons and those in power over small business concerns, groups, and or people. Grass rooted folks, watch dogs advocates have more flex abilities to make changes quickly. We the people have the court of Public opinion and out cry. As a senior women of color I have had my share of fights until a group in 2012 helped me win my case against the Wells Fargo Bank who stole my home. Yes! The group was Move-On and I WON thanks to your support. Now I want to put back to help others. This is personal and needs to be told so others can learn they can stand up and win. I truly thank the people of Move On and will state more in my up coming book.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not require or conduct safety studies on GE foods, instead relying on voluntary safety consultations and minimal research done by the companies who create GE foods. Labeling GE foods is necessary to allow consumers to make informed decisions about the food they buy and consume, as well as for tracking any potential adverse effects or allergies.

We believe Trump is a grave threat to democracy, freedom, human rights, equality, and the welfare of our country. We have witnessed Trump inciting hatred against Muslims, immigrants, women, and the disabled. That's why we are speaking out against Donald Trump for his hatred, misogyny, Islamaphobia, and racism and to give platform for the voices of the silent majority of Americans who do not and will not stand for it. Together we can inspire a collective awakening of people across all spectrums of the US to speak out and create actions to end hatred and inject values of respect, inclusion, love, and equality back into our national politics. Stand with leaders of worker movements, activists, actors, film directors, religious leaders, teachers, professors, civil rights leaders, lawyers, farmers, writers, workers, students, heads of companies, intellectuals, and poets and say #StopHateDumpTrump!

Most people do not have the $5000 to $30,000 that is required in legal bills to take on their homeowner's association when it acts illegally. That is why the RICO office was tasked with insuring that HOAs acted legally. Oddly, RICO has excluded planned communities and low income communities from being helped. These bills clarify the original intent of the law.

Our state is one of the poorest in the country and I know how hard it is to make loan payments that you just can't afford. The storefront lending business is built on aggressively marketing fast and easy cash then encouraging loan rollovers that boost payments well beyond what borrowers can afford. The default rate has caused an estimated 4 out of 10 car title borrowers to lose their cars. We just can't afford 175%, 300% and higher loan rates.
