Recently I viewed THE DARK SIDE OF CHOCOLATE on YouTube. I became educated about this horrifying issue and I feel compelled to do something about it. I was informed that boycotting would not help as it doesn't affect the corporations but rather the plantation owner. By a decrease in demand for chocolate it may trigger even more slavery use in order for the cocoa farmer to cut costs. This is why we must insist on Chocolate corporations to change and stop this crime once and for all.

We as a country should not bow down to the unnatural acts of our country men and women.

Today is the biggest strike in fast food history and it’s phenomenal. The actions in support of $15/hour wages and the right to form a union without retaliation have spread across the globe. It’s time for McDonald’s and the whole fast food industry to recognize that they can’t keep paying poverty wages to their employees – men and women, moms and dads, people whose families are depending on them. Support the strike – then spread the word! Sign our petition to McDonald’s to pay $15 an hour and allow workers to form a union. Make sure everyone at McDonald’s May 22nd shareholder meeting knows that paying poverty wages is no longer an option.

My name is Josh Christmon and I am a Purple Heart recipient and U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran who served in Iraq. You can see my story here : www.stp-sf.org/bad-paper Vets like myself are coming home with PTSD and physical injuries and are in need of medical care and disability benefits. But the military’s practice of considering symptoms of PTSD and TBI to be misconduct, instead of symptoms of medical conditions that require treatment, are stripping vets of the benefits they have earned. In my case, when I returned home from Iraq, I smoked marijuana once as a way to escape my PTSD. Instead of getting medical treatment for my conditions, I was given an Other than Honorable discharge. This left me unemployed, without benefits, and without needed medical care for the injuries sustained during my time in Iraq.

TV viewers need a voice in what shows are broadcast. CBS has decided to renew shows of inferior quality and ratings instead of renewing an entertaining show.

Four other bipartisan committees have already investigated the Benghazi attack. One of those lines of inquiry — the Government Oversight Committee’s investigation — remains ongoing. Republican political opportunists have established the select committee only because of their interest in raising money and exciting the GOP base . Appointing members to the committee would lend credibility to such a nonserious political "circus."
