• Steve King: Stop The Benghazi Witch Hunt
    Steve King has already admitted he is, "clueless on Benghazi," but that isn't stopping him from telling every media outlet that will listen that it is, "ten times worse than Watergate." We did not send King to congress to waste taxpayer dollars pushing an ideological agenda. Iowans need a farm bill, sensible gun control legislation, money for education, and health care. Steve King needs to make Iowans' needs his priority in Washington.

    This is the time to have an honest and open discussion about gun control in America. Why shouldn't Fox News be part of that conversation? While Rupert Murdoch has personally come out in favor of restricting access to guns, New York Magazine and the Huffington Post have reported that producers at Fox News were given instructions not to talk about gun-control policy on air. Let's hold Fox News responsible and demand that they allow hosts and guests to discuss gun control on the air.

    “Pastor” Ernie Sanders is heard nightly over a nationally-syndicated program originating with WHKW in Cleveland in affiliation with Salem Communications. While he enjoys the right to preach what he pleases to his own congregation, his overtly offensive message of vile hatred, intolerance and slander does not speak well of a station and network purporting to bring people to Christ. Sanders is a classic example why many have come to believe that all Christians and people of faith in general are delusional right-wing extremists. He is one-step removed from Westborough Baptist. It’s time we stood up against the hate.

  • Ban violent video games in movie theater lobbies
    My grandson and I went to rave cinema in north haven, ct. This theater frequently has movies for young children. In the lobby they have a video game with two assault type rifles attached to the sides of the game. The goal of the game is to shoot the gun to see how many figures you can kill. I see kids and adults playing this game and becoming very excited as they obtain high scores for numbers of figures killed. I believe this contributes to gun violence and should be removed from theater lobbies.

    there is a lot of violence in america and guns are involved. the fact that guns are involoved does not mean that guns are the problem. People are the problem. If we take guns away from decent people the only ones that will have guns are the ones that do things like this.Please do not let people use tragedy as a platform for their personal agenda.

    In an effort to thwart killers who wish to make their mark in history by the massacring of innocent lives, such as in Newtown, CT, I propose a law making it illegal for the media to reveal identifying information about a multiple homicide killer. We must insist that these murderers die anonymously and drift off into obscurity, thereby not achieving their ultimate goal. Violators of this law would be subject to civil lawsuits by the victims' families.

    Last year, Marine Lance CPL Christian Brown lost both his legs while fighting in Afghanistan. Last week, he lost his dignity while flying on Delta. According to reports, Brown, 29, was humiliated by the airline staff who clumsily wheeled him to the back of the plane, bumping into seated passengers along the way, and refused to let him change seats with fellow ticket-holders who offered him their seats in first class.

    Bright white headlights do not improve visibility for the night time driver over traditional headlights while they do impair the ability of the oncoming driver--as well as pedestrians--to clearly distinguish the road.
