Stop gang child rapist from selling Proctor and Gamble productsAn admitted gang child rapist, Vic Sotto, is the pitchman for P&G products in the Philippines. He and two other adult males raped a young Filipino-American girl and then to avoid the death penalty, simply admitted the rape. They were never prosecuted but the victim committed suicide several years later. Since the gang rape all three men involved, but especially Vic Sotto, have gone on to great wealth and fame in the Philippines. That is why P&G Philippines is using Sotto to sell their products here. But P&G is an American company, and it is they whom I want to petition to stop using this horrible child rapist to make money for them. The Philippines is a racist, sexist country where such men as Sotto are revered. But NOT in the U.S.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Donald Davis

Call to have Boehner resign!John Boehner has lied and manipulated the public by not working in our best interest with job creation and tax reform on the richest Americans. He has blocked productive legislation at every turn, ignoring the will of the people who have spoken in the last election. Gun laws are bought by the NRA and John Boehner and the "Tea Party" ignore the consequences...of the toxic mix created by untreated Mental Illness...due to lack of health care and the billion dollar loosely regulated sales of guns.... We need more competent politicians...from the top down....6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Maggie LaPointe

Gun Owners Should be Required to Hold InsuranceIn light of the recent horrific events in Connecticut, the time to act to regulate guns is now. Here is an idea that people on any side of the argument should have no problem supporting. 1. People who own guns should be required to carry insurance in case the weapon is used to murder or maim anyone - by themselves or someone else. The insurance would be used to cover their medical bills and funeral costs as well as pain and suffering. We are all required to carry auto insurance. If someone is at fault in an accident, the other person's medical bills are covered. 2. Those who sell guns and ammunition should be required to ensure the person has insurance and a license for the ammunition and the weapon. If not, the seller should be liable.182 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Lara Gerstein

Kaitlin Riog and the State of the UnionKaitlin Riog teaches at Sandy Hook elementary school. During the recent tragedy, during which many young children and school officials were killed, she took immediate action and saved her entire classroom from imminent danger. She should be recognized as the heroine she is and should be selected to sit next to Michelle Obama during the president's State of the Union address next month.18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dennis Grossman

We All Need To Be AdultsWe have now spent decades ducking the most serious issues facing our country and world. They include health, economy, jobs, taxes, election fairness and financing, gun control, "us-vs.-them" politics, labor, limits to states power and climate change. We need active vision and leadership to replace self-serving, short-sighted behavior.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dyke Williams

Remove California judge who says women's bodies can prevent rapeAs a rape survivor, I'm outraged by the recent remarks of California Superior Court Judge Derek Johnson, who said that a rape victim "didn't put up a fight" during her assault and that if someone doesn't want sexual intercourse, the body "will not permit that to happen." The California Commission on Judicial Performance admonished him but he's still on the bench.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nancy Chapman

Rejection Of Homeowners Association Foreclosure RightsForeclosure rights should be removed from Homeowners’ Associations and they be made to use other methods used by several business and organizations, including local governments. Homestead protections and laws do not provide for an exemption in an HOA foreclosure. Is the establishment of planned communities, so important to the security of this country that it needs special assistance, special laws, that permit the loss of constitutional protections of one's private property rights?6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Claire Huxable

Ban Assault Weapons NowThe tragic multiple murders at an elementary school in Connecticut are fresh in our hearts, but they have become an all too regular occurrence. It is time for our leaders to stand against the powerful gun lobby and ask: Do you really believe the ability to own an assault weapon is more important than the ability to protect our children?559 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Tim Brown
