• 50 Million potential votes
I have a simple plan which is the horsepower to raise "MONEY" to solve the problems facing our 50 million veterans/troops and their families. If President Obama would publicly present this innovative, technological solution to involve every American the Democratic party would endear themselves to each and every veteran and their families.

  • Stop Mortgage Title Fraud
This petition is getting justice for the victims of mortgage title fraud. I am personally adversely affected by the so called foreclosure rescue scammers who prey on victims like myself. The city real estate laws must be extended from a mere 3-year statute of limitation to a 30-year coverage.

  • Abolish the Singles Supplement
I have gone on trips where if you are single, you have to pay an additional fee which does not seem right, because there is less to clean up behind a single person than with a couple. Sometime the single supplement is two or three hundred dollars more than if you are traveling with someone, or if you are married and I think it is not fair. Everyone is not geared to get married and sometimes you just want to travel alone, or get away for a while and you should not be penalized just because you are traveling as a single person.

  • supply non-antibiotic grain fed beef and free range chickens on a large scale basis
I love animals and I love eating chickens and beef. I am very concerned about eating tainted meat and animals fed antibiotics. Foremost, I am concerned about mistreatment of animals.

  • Olympic competition
We all love the Olympics but its original intent seems to have been lost. For decades, it was only open to absolute amateurs and now professional athletes are involved in the mix. This seems tremendously unfair to those who do not get paid and yet to have recognition. Amateurs representing lesser known countries should be rewarded for their efforts and contributions to international relations - not pros who already have benefitted. Please help our voices be heard to limit the competition!

  • End Minimum Balance Fee Abuse by the Banks
Any average American who has a bank account knows the ever-present threat of the Minimum Balance Fee -- that insidious fee the bank charges you when your balance falls below the level of money they insist you keep in your account. Granted, this is nothing new in the banking industry. But why in the world should we pay the bank to lend it our money? Well, knowing full well that there isn't a US Congressman who has the gumption to stand fully against the banks on the matter of charging minimum balance fees, I propose a compromise: Whereas most banks will open a checking account for as little as $25, but require their customers to maintain a minimum balance of $1,500 to avoid fees (which is quite a large gap), and knowing that the average customer is often stretched to keep that much cash at the bank's disposal and, consequently, out of their own reach, it is obvious that the banks do this in order to rape their lower-income clients. It is an insidious practice, as it puts many customers into debt the moment they begin lending the bank their money, Therefore, I propose that Congress pass legislation that makes it illegal for a bank to open a checking or savings account for any amount below their minimum balance requirement. The benefit of this is that banks will either have to accept a significant loss in new clients (which they don't want), or they will have to severely drop their minimum balance requirements to levels attainable by a much greater number of Americans. Furthermore, I propose that Congress also pass legislation forbidding banks from charging overdraft (NSF) fees on accounts that they have service-charged into overdraft status. If assessing a service charge will effectively wipe out an account, the bank should be limited to only one of two actions: either forgo the service charge, or forgo the overdraft fee. No more double-dipping! There are laws against auto mechanics breaking things in your car and then charging you to fix them, or doctors intentionally introducing viruses into your body and then charging you for the cure. Charging an NSF fee after creating an overdraft in a customer's account is the same rotten practice, and should definitely be made illegal. Please sign and pass this petition along to your friends!

  • Fund the Rail Runner to support New Mexico's future
The Rail Runner commuter rail service for the past six years has been vital for New Mexico's commuter traffic between Belen, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. However, in order to fully serve New Mexico's commuter traffic, it requires more funding to optimize its schedule and planned service. Profits come after experimentation.

  • Illinois Public Pensions need to be adjusted to reflect the current fiscal reality
In the Private Sector, Pensions have gone the way of VHS Tapes. The Public Sector has not caught up with this phenemona. Additionally while the private sector employees need to wait untill they are 65 for retirement and retirement health benefits, the public sector, including teachers, do so at a much earlier age and on the Tax Payer's dime.

  • Unsubscription Non-Existent for Spotify Users
Upon registration, new Spotify users are frequently emailed from Spotify regarding peer activity within the user's social network. Attempts to immediately unsubscribe such as replying to the email and visiting the link below the email to unsubscribe are not available and/or do not produce an easy, expected path for unsubscription. The difficulties associated with the process of unsubsription, if any processes do exist, should have been remedied by Spotify. Therefore, emails from Spotify are considered SPAM or letters of harrasment to Spotify's respective users since unsubsription is evidently non-existent.
