• Hillary for Vice President
America cannot afford to be run by the Romney-Ryan ticket, who will do the bidding of the wealthiest 1%, and the polluters at BIG oil and "clean" coal. Having HILLARY CLINTON on the Democratic ticket as VP will GUARANTEE a victory for the Obama-Clinton ticket and the Democratic House and Senate candidates down-ticket.

  • PUC allows First Energy to collect for no service
When I inquired about terminating the electric service to my seasonal business for the winter, I was informed that I would still have to pay anyway. They base it on one half of your highest peak of use. How can you charge for a service you are not getting? If you terminate the service, they still charge you anyway. Incredible. Help me stop First Energy's practice of charging for no service.

  • Non-Smokers Bill of Rights
I feel that individuals smoking in vehicles are just as distracted as cell phone users. They are also responsible for numerous fires alongs our nations highways by flicking cigarettes and ashes out of the vehicle. There are also health concerns involving children and other people that ride in the same vehicle as a smoker. I have have been rear ended by a driver who dropped her cigarette and was trying to retreive it and hit me.

  • Truth In Political Advertising
Due to the onslaught of political advertising in print, on air, and via TV commercials it appears that there should be some sort of guidelines set as to the truthfulness of their content. Many voters do not have the time to research whether the information contained within these ads are truthful, half-truths, or downright lies. Since determining who receives the trust of this country's voters depends greatly upon the information disseminated within these ads, it stands to reason that they should be held to the highest standards in terms of honesty.

  • HIP HOP COUNTS - SEPTEMBER 14-16TH, 2012 NYC
The Hip Hop Community is made to look like buffoons who do not care about their own well being let alone that of the country. However, there is a more dominant thriving community of entrepreneurs who we call Hip Hop Citizens of all races, nationalities and creeds who contribute largely to the American Economy (684 Billion dollars) and deserve to be recognized outside of the entertainers who do not represent our interests. We will be launching our Hip Hop Voter Issue Survey and we want to know where the candidates stand with respect to the issues we hold dear.

  • Reverse Mortgage
For several years HUD has had the legislation to enable reverse mortgage. However, they still haven't written the "letter" to enable it for Co-Ops. They have enabled it for condominiums, but co-ops have been neglected.

  • Install Diaper Changing Stations in Family Friendly Restaurant Bathrooms
I've been a mother for 14 months now and a restaurant patron for a whole lot longer. Any parent of a baby will tell you that when you are eating out, there is a high probability that the baby will need a diaper change before the meal is over. Since my son was born, my husband and I have encountered numerous challenges when it comes to diaper changes because of a lack of changing stations in restaurant bathrooms. When there is a changing station, it is most likely only in the women's restroom, leaving the woman to be the only one to have to get up from the meal to change the baby or leaving a single dad without a place to go at all. The lack of changing stations is challenging and frustrating, especially when eating in a "family friendly" restaurant. And the location of diaper changing stations only being in the female restroom is not only extremely sexist, but also a hindrance to fathers. If a father is single, widowed, gay, or just out to eat with his child alone, he has nowhere to change the baby's diaper. My suggestion is to require that all restaurants, especially family friendly ones, install diaper changing stations in both the women's and men's restrooms. They don't take up a lot of space and they might even bring in more business, making it a truly family-friendly establishment.
