• Public Support for Uniform and Expanded Voting Hours
For months, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has personally acted to restrict early voting in counties with large Democratic populations—casting tie-breaking votes to limit voting to weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in urban areas like Franklin County,1 where in previous elections 82% of early voters did so on nights or weekends. Now, Secretary of State Husted said he is considering limiting early voting hours across the state in the run-up to the November election, and will "be listening to local boards of elections' concerns on this issue."

  • PAY IT BACK
The surplus monies that workers and employers paid into the Social Security Trust Fund were borrowed and used by the government for other purposes. Now they want to revise and reduce Social Security benefits that we, the taxpayers, have already paid for. Before there are any plans to revamp the future of Social Security or modify benefits, the Federal government must first PAY BACK all of the surplus monies it borrowed from the Social Security Trust Fund.

  • Show me your tax returns
Mitt Romney is refusing to release his tax returns, which is fine, except if you're trying to become the president of the United States. In such cases, I think it is imperative that the people know exactly how you have conducted yourselves with respect to our tax code whether or not you find them to be fair. A great leader must first and foremost be willing to abide by the laws of the people whom he hopes to lead

  • Premium seating separates families and compromises the safe airline emergency evacuation of every...
Premium seating, whereby the airline, in this case Delta, charges a premium for window and aisle seats, has the effect of separating family members throughout the aircraft and thereby compromises the safety of all on board in the event of an emergency evacuation. Parents will go to their children first before evacuating the aircraft, thus compromising the efficient flow of passengers to the exits. Aircraft are certified to be able to evacuate the aircraft within 90 seconds. All FAA evacuations certifications are thus now invalidated now that parents are going to go their children first, before evacuating. Stop separating families on airlines!

  • BALLOT REFORM
SINCE THERE IS AN ENTRY LEVEL ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT ALL BALLOTS SHOULD BE WRITTEN IN ENTRY LEVEL ENGLISH. THIS WOULD ELIMINATE THE NEED TO PRINT BALLOTS IN OTHER LANGUAGES, REDUCE THE COSTS OF DOING SO, AND MAKE THEM EASIER FOR EVERYONE TO UNDERSTAND

  • Gov. Romney, where are your tax returns?
Gov. Romney refuses to produce more than 2 yrs. returns, yet his father produced 12 years. Gov. Romney submitted 10 or more years of returns to Sen.McCain when Romney was considered for V.P. Why not give those same returns tothe American people?

  • New Rules for Presidential Debate
We currently have presidential debates that encourage skirting issues, lying, distortion, and exaggeration. I would watch a debate in which none of this were possible or at the very least, identified as such. Let's propose a debate format that (1) gives moderators (one Dem, one Repub) the power to interrupt responses that don't answer the question; and (2) has a balanced panel of fact checkers (with computers) who can buzz in loudly when they hear a lie (with perhaps a softer buzzer for exaggeration/distortion). Such a debate would be informative and entertaining, a win-win for both the network and the public. I think everybody in the country would tune in!
