• Rent Justification
We have been trying for years to pass a rent justification bill in the state of Delaware. This bill has just passed the Senate by a 11 to 9 vote and now is moving on to the House. This bill will give residents who live in manufactured homes on leased land the ability to pay a reasonable rent and still have the park operators be able to make a profit. Please help our seniors from having to walk away from their homes due to high rents.

  • No redeeming qualities in Republican Party Candidates
Recently another shocking disclosure about the character of Mitt Romney has surfaced. Rather than directly and honestly explain his atrocious behavior bullying students in high school; he simply laughed it off! It is obvious from his statements during this campaign and his long history of supporting tax breaks for the rich and other such stands favoring an elitist agenda, that he is not capable of holding office as the Chief Executive of this Nation, representing all of the People. Bush has already permanently driven this Nation into debt and set a precedent for outrageous policies as President. Can we afford another incompetent elitist in the Presidency? Sign this petition to assert your abhorrence at the RNC position of supporting Romney's candidacy as the Chief Executive, and clearly registering your support for Barack Obama in his bid for a second term!

  • Modifcation of Mortgage
I have been trying to do a modification for the past 3 yrs with my mortgage co. and I am getting the runaround since it is a private investor. I was told in April that they were working with the hamp program but found out that the co. was but my loan was owned by a private investor and they were not working with the hamp program. I filed for bankruptcy 13 in 2010 and now my lawyer is telling me I have 12 days to pay the month I owe them or else the house will be removed from the bankruptcy. I refinanced in the year of 2007 by a co. by the name of American brokers conduit, they appraised by house $750.00 which I questioned them about as the city had my house appraised at $450.00 I was told that the loan was to be capped at 12% and if the rates went down my rate would be reduced which never happen, they sold my loan to American home mortgage and they went into bankruptcy, American home mortgage finally sold the loan to a company by the name of Residential Credit Solutions. I found out American brokers conduit was not licensed to do business in Va. and they had gone out of business except that they are still sending me advertisement about refinancing.

  • Scott Walker must go!
In the strongest terms, I urge the DNC to fund Tom Barrett's election against Gov. Scott Walker. We must NOT lose this recall election. The nation is watching and countless Wisconsin's teachers -- to say nothing of the state's education system -- is poised for disaster. For God's sake, fund this worthy effort!

  • Employers not hiring due to credit scores:
Unfair hiring practice due to credit scores must be stopped immediately so that Americans can get back to work. This practice does not benefit the creditor, the company nor does it benefit our country. Unemployment will continue to rise as this common practice has a domino effect, no employment, no taxes paid, no creditor being paid, no rent or mortgage being paid, homelessness= poverty. Poverty= public assistance, public assistance= tax dollars, tax dollars= bugdet deficits all across the board. Hey stupid get a clue!!!!

  • National Fiscal Reality
In our country the national media would have you believe that all of us either believe in lowering taxes to solve our national problems or increasing spending on social programs. I believe there are many of us who have a more mature understanding of finances and our national political reality.

  • End Nuisance Petitions
This petition rejects the premise that every petition that is divisive and/or combative and relies on false accusations and distortion of fact has merit simply because it is making noise. The only petitions of merit are those based on fact and not propagandistic slurs against any isolated constituency.

  • State Board Examination requirenment for Fitness Professionals
My petition is to get a law requiring anybody who works in or states to have expertise in the Fitness industry to pass a NJ State board test ,before being allowed to train or charge anyone for services. Right now the person who cuts your hair has more oversight than the one who trains, your wife , husband, girlfriend boyfriend or children. We need to make certain that those who are payed money in the Fitness Industry because they are percieved to be experts actually know what they are doing. This bill would take the guess work out of hiring for the consumer and bring more confidence to the Industry ,while weeding out dangerous unqualified trainers. My bill would require anyone teaching or making money off the sales of Fitness training to take a NJ state Board test, This would test thier profeciencies in the areas of basic human Anatomy& Physiology required in the Industry as well as ,basic First Aid,Exercise Science and Nutrtion. There would be two parts to the test 1 hour written and 45 minute Practical ,demonstrating a knowlege proper program design proper program excution, and basic fitness assesment skills. The cost of testing could either be a Direct fee,or an add on fee for when people sign on to certification courses,as condition that those certification Organizations would be allowed to either operate or collect money from NJ residents they would be charged a modest fee that would have a cap of what they could add on to the cost of their Trainer Education courses. As a result of these new rules and regulations we not only get rid of bad trainers, but also bad training courses that take money from those wanting to be Fitness Professionals' and teach them nothing. Test fees should stay under $250 to remain reasonable. The reason I am proposing this is I have been in the Fitness Industry for over 14 years and have seen the horrors of bad training.,One company that I worked was soo bad that a District manager almost put a women in the hospital ,who had MS!,

There is currently no legislation for a pet's rights in a car. We believe that a pet should stay in the car for 15 minutes max, in extreme heat or cold. We would like to create a law that centers around this point.
