• Animals have rights to!
Animals mainly poultry that are raised to be butchered are crowded into on space and when they die they are walked on and pecked at. Animals that produce the things we use are treated with very little space or freedom. They are treated with cruelty and yet not a single person seams to care or chooses not to speak up. Animals need respect too.

  • Opening New Doors for Sherman Oaks
We’re M. David Paul & Associates and have been in the San Fernando Valley for over 35 years. Our goal is to invest in the future of Sherman Oaks and for the past 5 years, we have been working to bring il Villaggio Toscano (IVT), a mixed-use residential and shopping center with neighborhood-serving retail, a specialty grocery store, and a 13,000 sq. ft. plaza with seating areas accessible to the public, and art highlighting the history of Sherman Oaks. Proposed for the corner of Camarillo and Sepulveda, the project brings a much needed aspect to Sherman Oaks: a walkable community that is close to major job centers, public transit, restaurants, entertainment and retail. The economic output from construction, jobs, taxes and spending by residents could boost local businesses and the Sherman Oaks economy.

  • Support for President Obama
President Obama, inspite of the misguided gratuitous rude behavior and disrespectful political inuendos that have been streamed against him by a small biased minority, deserves our support as a can-do and most capable U.S. President

  • Cut Off Social Security and Medicare for Millionaires
The government pays out billions of dollars in social security and medicare benefits for retired millionaires. Millionaires do not need these benefits. Further, unlike many other issues where people are seriously divided, there are many Congressman and Senators on both sides of the aisle who agree on this point. Call or email your congressman today and let them know to stop paying the millionaires.

  • Entitlements
The most entitled of all Americans are the politicians from the Federal level, on down to lowest city official. I petittion that their salaries be cut by 5% across the board, all raises in salary & expenses awarded during our wwars in Iraq & Afghanistan be rolled back. All pensions should be eliminated & replaced by 403b or IRA type accounts, with no match until the deficits are gone. Their healthcare should be eliminated and replaced with the same healthcare that the rest of Nation uses.

  • Legalize AMERICAN-made drugs
I've put this idea forward before, but here it is again: Legalize drugs, but only those grown, processed and distributed within our own borders. A domestic-only policy would cut off violent foreign drug lords, and bankrupt terrorists who finance their crimes with drug peddling. It would allow our law enforcement criminal justice systems to concentrate on real crimes, and would subject drugs to regulation and taxation. It would also create thousands upon thousands of jobs.

  • Oppose Hat Creek Burgers Drive-Thru in Historic Old Town
We believe that Georgetown’s business advantage and quality of life is best ensured by protecting the city’s unique pedestrian-friendly historic district. We are opposed to the special use permit application by Hat Creek Burger Company for an on-site drive-through located at 405 S. Austin Avenue. According to their application, Hat Creek Burgers plan for up to 1,000 customers per day (up to 250 cars per hour during peak times). This type of car-centric, high turnover restaurant franchise conflicts with the historic district’s unique pedestrian-friendly space nurtured so carefully over the years. We do not want to set a precedent for other franchise and car-focused businesses in the historic district. Keep Georgetown special!

  • STOP THE RE-OPENING OF HORSE SLAUGHTER HOUSES
Slaughter houses have been closed for several years now, but a bill was recently signed allowing the re-opening of Horse Slaughter Houses for creating available horsemeat for France, Belgium and Japan. We in the U.S. do not eat horsemeat. This a repugnant, disgusting, cruel, and unecessary. Think what the noble horse has done for mankind, pulling wagons, plows, taxies, and dying on the battlefields of wars. The federal government must creat LOW COST Horse clinics where the very ill, diseased, very old etc. can be put down humanely for low costs. Other things we can do is set aside alotments on land for more dirt roads for riding, to bring back the usefulness of a horse but with excellent treatment and care. Horses are fragile, intelligent, devoted big creatures to those who love them. We must give them the decent good lives they deserve. Education, education, education is needed to promote good useful lives for horses.
