our politicians are bribed...they accept money from special interests ...they make laws that only benefit special interests....they are not working for the majority of us. citizens...they are bringing on the downfall of america...time to fire all politicians who vote against americas interests.....

Why should politicians be continually allowed to make statements that are ENTIRELY false or MISLEADING, without any accountability for it ? In some instances in the U.S., such lying could result in a libel suit - but not with political campaigning.

Student loan debt has now surpassed credit card debt. College graduates are increasingly finding themselves without jobs that wlll afford them the ability to repay their loans. Currently student loans are not eligible to be discharged through bankruptcy. This petition is to try to get this changed to include student loans in bankruptcy protection.

Immediately end all offices currently held to two year terms, and limit all incoming offices to two years. This will end the "lifetime" jobs to the rich and well connected have held from one political family to the next. Make all persons running for office prove there birth place with a birth certificate before they are elected, not two years after the fact.

In recent news, the violence in the Basque Country has gone long enough. ETA gave up armed violence, but no demands from Basque citizens have been met. The government in Madrid keeps on oppressing the Basque people. Please start helping out the Basque Country for peace; it's all been one-sided.

The Football Bowl Subdivision currently relies on the corrupt and unfair BCS system to determine a national champion. The NCAA should cut its ties with the BCS and implement a 16-team playoff.

In order provide the services our citizens need and deserve, government, both State and local, needs to be adequately funded. We have a tradition of a progressive tax system. I suggest that we return to such a system and ask those with the most wealth to share a greater burden. This has nothing to do with socialism, it is a matter of fairness and social conscience.
