The United States Postal Service is the one government agency that touches every American on a daily basis, democracy in action. From barbarous wildlife trapping practices to cruel and inhumane methods of deterring nesting by Canada Geese, it would seem that the State of Idaho cares little for our wildlife. Yet this wildlife is just as important to the integrity of our great state as the clear skies, sparkling lakes, rugged peaks,and swiftly flowing rivers. Our values, as Idahoans, do not include barbarism towards any living creatures, human or otherwise. We must stand strong for what we believe.

We urge the City Council to propose and make final a resolution of such a ban within the city of Boca Raton . We find the cruelty perpetrated on fur bearing animals to be barbaric, unnecessary, unacceptable and choose not to support an Industry that raises animals solely for the purpose of ripping their skin from their bodies and using it as decoration. Fur coats are not a necessity, they are a luxury item which causes extreme cruelty to living beings. Fur trim and other items made from fur are not necessities, they are decorative only. Of the 40 million animals a year slaughtered for the Fur Industry, 85% of them come from China, a country that has no humane standards at all. After being raised in unnatural, crowded conditions, at the age of about 8 months ,most animals are anally electrocuted prior to skinning, their bodies being discarded as waste. Horrifyingly, for the sake of efficiency, some Chinese fur farmers place animals into boiling water while still alive, so that their skin pulls away from their bodies easier. This has been recorded and documented by world wide news organizations and is available for viewing on the Internet for those people that are skeptical that humans could be capable of that degree of indifference to suffering. Even in America, there are no protections for the animals raised for their fur and they, too, are raised in horrifying conditions, electrocuted and slaughtered at a young age , their bodies discarded. People want to rename Burien Skatepark "Jasmine Tully Memorial Park". Jasmine Tully hung out at the skatepark but didn't have anything to do with the skate community. She was not a skater or a biker. Her murder had nothing to do with the skatepark. Please don't exploit her death by renaming our beloved park after someone who didn't respect it.

On some military bases and in VA hospitals, Fox News plays on the public televisions all day feeding hate and lies to our troops and their civilian spouses and children. Fox News lies about our President, disprespects him, and should not be the accepted channel for television in our VA hospitals and on our military bases.

But, we don't all pay the same taxes. What if we did and the limit to taxation, including all value added, state, local, city, and federal taxes were 20% of our adjusted gross income? The wealthy would pay more, the poor would pay more, and there would be more equity. Singles under $20,000 AGI and Couples under $ 40,000 AGI, no tax, from anywhere.. (except VAT). Wouldn't that make America equitable? Even Corporations could do this and the Treasury would bulge. You are welcome to analyze it. It is incredibly fair and make's the other sides plans look like plans of fools. We must become a fair country again. Taxing fairly will make us strong!
