We all need to sign this because if you ever got abused what is the first thing that comes to mind will I die or will I survive do I have very bad/painful injures? Well what do you think the animals think we were all put on this world fora purpose don't you think that animals are no differently then us? Well they are there mammals and vertibrates just like us. When I get older and in college I won't to be a vet I will keep fighting and fighting tell animal abuse is over! The Michigan State University Department of Residence Life has decided that all RAs will be subject to assignment of a "temporary" roommate for the fall of 2012. This will be in the RA contract that will be signed this spring. The following is a list of concerns compiled by Resident Mentors from a variety of building across Michigan State University's campus. Please read this list of concerns and if you agree with them, please sign this petition which will be presented to Kathy Collins, the Director of Residence Life.

Education and treatment of mental illness and substance abuse is important to the rehabilitation of convicted criminals. 80% of the population upon entry has one or both of these issues and have a better chance for rehabilitation if these programs are available to them. Education and treatment is the key to rehabilitation. These programs work and should not be cut from the prison system.

My Petition is targeted at the SC Hall of Fame, since I relocated back to South Carolina back in 1998, My wife and I discovered that SC had a hall of Fame, when we went there (Myrtle Beach) we discovered that as far as musician, John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie was in the Hall of Fame, but not James Jamerson Sr. Mr. Jamerson has been a finalist for so many years but never inducted, Back in March 5, 2009 the SC House of Representatives passed a Resolution asking that Mr. Jamerson be inducted but yet nothing happened. Also In 1989 the book "Standing in the Shadows of Motown-The Life and Music of Legendary Bassist James Jamerson" was released. In 1999, he was awarded the Hollywood Rock Walk Award. Then in 2000 James was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2002 the documentary "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" was released and it garnered Jamerson and the Funk Brothers two Grammy Awards along with the Grammy’s Life Time Achievement Award. In 2003 he was honored during a two-day festival given by the Avery Research Institute and the College of Charleston in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. During that event, the Mayor of Charleston presented the family with a Proclamation from the City of Charleston. In 2007 Jamerson and the rest of the Funk Brothers were inducted into the Musician's Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2008 he was awarded the Gullah/GeeChee Nation’s Anointed Spirit Award. On March 5, 2009, the South Carolina House of Representatives passed a Resolution asking for the induction of James Jamerson into the South Carolina Hall of Fame. On August 7th,2009 James Jamerson was inducted into "The Fender's Music Hall Of Fame". In 2011 James Jamerson was awarded BassPlayer Magazine Lifetime Acheivement Award.
