Most of this industry is self-employed, in order to feed our families, pay our bills, and generally survive we need to work. We are not given Paid Time Off or Insurance Benefits.

Self employed hair and beauty operators are losing money that is crucial to their families. This money that is being lost is how we pay our bills within the salon operations and personal bills at home. Which includes mortgages, vehicles, food, and other personal needs for our families.

Independent Beauty Professionals rely on the income from clients. We cannot perform a haircut online. While the beauty industry is deemed “Non essential”, the ability to practice our craft is very ESSENTIAL to our livelihood. We are facing a grave financial hardship

Licensed beauticians across the state of Oklahoma rely on their income from clients. The extra $600 weekly is what some beauticians make in a day, let alone it’s adding to the influx of filing for unemployment and draining the economy. This business is necessary, for not only those in the healthcare industry, but others deemed essential.

Pets are considered family members to their pet owners and getting groomed is essential to their health and wellness. Grooming salons have sanitary protocols in place to keep owner and pet safe. important? Small businesses MATTER and some of those small businesses shut down are groomers (Mobile , storefront & homebased ) . Pet grooming is essential We believe that providing grooming services is essential to health and wellness of pets. Without proper and routine grooming care and hygiene which includes everything from bathing to nail clipping, gland expression, teeth brushing, ear cleaning and more pets can be at risk for a number of negative health impacts including skin and coat issues and infections, injuries from overgrown nails, and dental health issues, to name a few. Many pet parents are not capable nor properly equipped to groom their pets at home in the grooming services pet groomers provide whether storefront to mobile are not at all equivalent to human haircuts or salon service. Grooming businesses are more than capable of taking all steps necessary to insure the safety of the public’s health.

Other than client to professional contact; all licensed professional are already a minimum of 8 feet apart according to the rules and regulation of the Nevada Board of Cosmetology and Board of health. We have also been issued a list to show the proper items to be used to prevent SARS-Covid-2 as well as current sanitation regulations. As of April 15, 2020; only 0.0010333 of our states' population has tested positive or has been deemed presumed positive. Also, unemployment claims for 1099 and independent contractors will not even be up until mid May or later; The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship.

All of these people need to work to pay their bills, this is causing them grave financial hardships. They have Clients that go weekly because they are unable to do things for themselves! Essential workers still need to have these services available to them when needed! Hair cuts important! I personal know people that go to nail salons to help their in grown toenails to not get bad. I’m sure the health care workers need a massage after a long day work and would love to be pampered to relax and feel better after giving their time and hard work helping others.

Everything and everyone on Earth will be effected by the next Presidential election. If TRump steals the 2020 Election the entire planet is doomed. If Biden wins, we all (planet, species, humans) have a chance of survival and making things right for our kids and grandchildren.
