Summer time is the only time I can buy fresh local foods from the Farmers Markets but unfortunately they do not accept the food stamps card but some do accept credit cards. I would like to be able to use my card at the farmers markets. Please support this cause and help others like me that want to buy fresh local foods to support our bodies and our local communities. The Borough of Highland Park has quietly passed and illegal ordinance (135-25) which requires ALL Highland Park residents to register their home for inspection, and pay $100 per upto 3x per year! Each time you rent your property you must pay $100 and allow inspectors into your home for their approval. This is unprecedented compared to normal inspection regulations. (1x every 3 years) If you do not or do not agree you can be fined $500 per day as long as the BHP sees fit. The town has also criminalized housing matters which means you could be arrested as a criminal in your home. This of course is against the law but the Judge Herman of Highland Park does not seem to care as long as you keep paying and filling his coffers. As of 2012 the relavent case law Heine vs NJ states very clearly a municipality can NOT criminalize housing matters and fine citizens let alone arrest them for housing tickets. This illegal ordinance and fining must be stopped!

I been living in the area for over 20 years and have never seen the tennis courts here at calumet park being used i would like to try and get a skate park build here at calumet park, dude to the fact that there are lots of children in this area that loves to skate. But there is no place they can go close by, we need one in our own back yard so calumet will be a great place to have one.

The conclusions of Governor Christie's Task Force on the Closure of State Developmental Centers has come under scrutiny by the New Jersey General Assembly and the employees and families of developmental center residents. Efforts are being made to rescind Christie's decision to close North Jersey and Woodbridge Developmental Centers.

We believe the need for Conditional Use Incentives no longer exists for Delray Beach downtown development property. Goals in the Master Plan & Comprehensive Plan need to be updated and Land Use codes revised to minimize the risk of overbuilding in the downtown area. Until such time, a moratorium on Conditional Use Applications should be instituted immediately.

A large percentage of the population is aging toward the need for Social Security in order to survive in their latter years. Any threat to the present payout formulas need to be stabilized. This simple two step program resolves the problem.

Connecticut Department of Transportation has proposed doubling the fares on the Chester-Hadlyme and Rocky Hill-Glastonbury ferries as of July 1. Such a dramatic price increase will undoubtedly discourage use of the ferries and result in decreased ridership, possibly to the point of actually reducing total revenues. DOT should give serious consideration to other alternatives.

Fixing Social Security for the next 40 years

Even though my benefits were cut and my taxes increased in 1982 to create a trust fund that provides full benefits to me and others though the next two decades, the "Chained CPI" proposal cuts benefits again without considering any increase on the revenue side.
