  • THE THEFT OF SOCIAL SECURITY
CUTTING OR REMOVAL OF SOCIAL SECURITY IS THEFT FROM PEOPLE WHO'VE PUT THEIR MONEY INTO A SYSTEM AS WITHOUT ANY OTHER RECOURSE. THOSE OF US WHO ALL READY HAVE MONIES INTO THIS SYSTEM ARE BEING FORCED TO LIVE AS PAUPERS WITH AND THREATEN WITH PLACEMENT OF SAID MONIES IN THE HANDS OF WALL STREET, OR OTHER NONE PROFITABLE ASPECT FOR US. I SAY DO NOT TOUCH SOCIAL SECURITY, REPLACE ALREADY USED MONIES BY THE GOVERNMENT, AND PUT INTO EFFECT BETTER SAFEGUARDS.NOW PETITION ALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE, THE PRESIDENT, IN CONGRESS, AND THE SENATE,ALL THE ABOVE TO SAVE WHAT YOU'VE PUT IN AND WORKED FOR.

  • Don't Cut Social Security!
I am permanently disabled having Treatment-Resistant Major Depressive Disorder. If Social Security is cut, I will directly suffer from this. What am I supposed to do? Social Security is minimal already. If it is cut any further, you might as well cancel it, and take the damn money to build more drones. The leaders of this country don't give a damn anyway. Just go to hell.

  • Save Social Security and cost of living increases
I am a senior citizen and I work part time to just barely get by. A couple years ago there was no cost of living adjustment and I DID NOT get by. I had to use my credit to supplement my income and this put me even further behind and added to the strain on the economy. I can't borrow more so a cost of living decrease will devastate me and seniors who have paid into the system for their whole lives and are already struggling with rising health care costs.

  • Do Not Cut Social Security
I am currently receiving SS disability benefits due to cancer/depression conditions. I am a single mother of 2 minors, I cannot work and I need to continue providing for all of us, in addition to continue receiving medical treatment. I have worked since I was 14 years old, and since then I contributed to my SS until I couldn't work anymore in 2009 when I was first diagnosed with cancer. SS benefits are not a government aid...it is my money, the money taken away from every single pay check I received for 33 years of hard work. This money represents my retirement, in my case, an early retirement for a situation I didn't choose to happen in my life. Like me, many others in the nation will go maybe homeless and w/o medical care, if P. Obama's proposition gets approved. The government wastes billions and trillions of dollar in bureaucracy, unnecessary military involvement, bad economy management, etc. SS is our money, what we put in a an account for the government to well manage, not to bad managing it to then make cuts to it.

  • OPPOSE TO THE CPI
The current cost of living instrument is not realistic. the CPI will be even more unrealistic. Most retirees are just wanting a dignified retirement.

  • Do no cut Social Security COLAs
One third of seniors today depend on Social Security for 90% of their income. Two thirds depend on it for 50% of their income.

  • Leave Senior Citzens Some Dignity
Both my husband and I are dependent upon Social Security. The cost of living has dramatically gone up for us during the past five years. Now our drug coverage has dropped two of the most expense drugs that my husband needs to keep living, this adds another $475 per month to our budget. If Social Security goes to the chained CPI we'll be eating dog or cat food if we can afford it. Stop the nonsense and leave the senior population some dignity in our remaining years. Stop bowing down to the Republicans and that kook Paul Ryan. Thank You, Elaine Rinehimer
