• Safe crossing for seniors in the community!
The part of Jamaica Plain where the Julia Martin House is located is an intergenerational community surrounded by seniors aging-in-place and youth getting wrap-around care at the Martha Eliot Health Center. The safety of everyone in the area is made better by having streets that are accessible.

  • Help save the Bundy Trails
We are in danger of losing the only dirt jumps in town. The trails have been there for over 15 years. The city is widening the road and is planning on plowing the trails. The trails mean a lot to a lot of people. Please sign, share, and help us not lose another spot.

  • Resignation of NJDOT commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti
Myself like many others were stranded on major highways on November 15th 2018 in complete gridlock for up to 13 hours. Many other people who elected to use mass transit were turned away and told that all NJ Transit was stopping resulting in stranded passengers and people with the inability to get home to family and loved ones. This petition is requesting the voluntary resignation of New Jersey department of transportation commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti for lack of competency and ability to perform her job in times of need.

  • Give The Dumas Back! Right Urban Renewal Wrongs In Roanoke
This is a petition sponsored by The Dumas Hotel Legacy, Inc. (representing more than 400 citizens/donors/members as part of their efforts to purchase the historic Dumas Hotel). This petition is an opportunity for the larger Roanoke community to demonstrate their support for our efforts. This petition also underscores the critical importance of this sacred property, community ownership, and control of its future. This is a great opportunity for Roanoke to make restitution for its urban renewal policies that led to millions of dollars in property and resources being taken from the black community for generations. It a chance for real RECONCILIATION.

  • Transparency in Indiana Government - Nickel Plate Railroad
On February 28, 2017, Fishers, Noblesville, and Hamilton County announced their surprise decision to convert the Historic Nickel Plate railroad to a trail. This decision came without public input, involvement, or oversight and will be detrimental to the future economic development potential of a corridor that is capable of hosting both rails AND trails. Since that time, more than 11,000 citizens have demanded better government process to explain the project, consider alternatives, and invite the public to participate in a meaningful way. ELECTED OFFICIALS HAVE PRESSED FORWARD WITH NO INDICATION OF LISTENING TO A MAJORITY OF THEIR RESIDENTS. By signing this petition: - I signify my support of the recent legal action by Save the Nickel Plate, Inc. for alleged violations of the Open Door Laws by Fishers, Noblesville, and Hamilton County when making decisions regarding the Nickel Plate railroad. - I believe this legal action will help to protect the public's interest in participating in critical government decisions. - I believe that the public HAS NOT been afforded adequate (if any) opportunity to participate in the planning and decision making process of the Nickel Plate railroad - it appears to have all been decided behind closed doors. - I PERSONALLY COMMIT TO SUPPORT OR CAST MY VOTE FOR CANDIDATES WHO I BELIEVE WILL PROVIDE MORE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN OUR GOVERNMENT.
