• Save Hubbard County Social Services!
Hubbard County Social Services provides support to the most vulnerable members of the community: abused and neglected children and adults. The current leadership has caused a toxic work environment, leading to over 50% staff turnover in two years. Last year, the county board decided that in lieu of investigating the problem, they would hire a consultant to find out why the department has become so dysfunctional. Since then, the board has refused to abide by the consultant’s recommendations. Between hiring and ignoring an expensive consultant and paying for interviewing, hiring, and training new staff, the county board is wasting tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money, all while continuing to put the community members who rely on county services at serious risk.

  • Bring fiberoptic internet to our area
I live in a rural area of Lucasville OH and we have had extremely unreliable phone and internet service for years. The areas we experience trouble is Rush, Union and Morgan townships, specifically. We rely on land lines because of a lack of cell towers and reliable cell signal. There are elderly and disabled individuals who desperately need working communication services. We have been told by Frontier customer service that we are getting fiberoptic internet in our area, only to be informed later by service technicians that we will not be getting it on our road or those past us. We pay for services not being rendered. The bill comes regardless of whether or not we have service and we pay because we have no other alternatives. We are formally requesting that fiberoptic internet and reliable phone service be provided in our areas as soon as possible.

  • PETITION FOR ACTION BY GOVERNOR BAKER TO HALT DANGEROUS AND INADEQUATE BIKEWAY PLANS ADJACENT TO ...
The State DCR and DOT are imposing low-quality, highway-centric bikeway projects on Wellfleet in the interest of expediency, with poor sense of location, disregarding safety and resource objections expressed in near-unanimous town votes and meetings, and in opposition to the interests of Wellfleet voters, taxpayers, and vacationers.

  • The People of Astoria Want Waterfront Development Height Limitations Across RVP Zones & Special D...
Development along the waterfront in Astoria is coming and it’s coming fast. With multiple properties up for grabs and a towering Marriott hotel already approved at the Ship Inn/ Stephanie’s Cabin site, Astoria residents want to ensure that our waterfront isn’t eaten up by towering structures- blocking views and access to our river. Both the Port of Astoria and the Astoria Warehouse property owners are pressuring the city to make exceptions for them and allow them to build to 45’ tall. That’s over 10’ taller than the existing Astoria Warehouse buildings. We can grow, we can develop, but there is no reason to sacrifice access- whether it be visual or physical- to our river for the sake of hotels and other forms of development that don’t have Astoria residents’ best interest in mind. Let’s let the city know that we want height restrictions on development!

  • Construction company means to rezone residential lot to light industrial
Site location: Southbound on highway 101>right on Lynch Rd>right on W Kamilche Ln. Property on left side .25 miles in. Currently being used single-family residence will become an industrial property. I am concerned that the use will include high-impact large amounts of vagrant dust clouds daily and heavy equipment noise daily, which will disturb the surrounding neighborhoods and animals.

  • Road Paving
We are all tired of our roads having potholes that I dangerous. The town is not doing anything about repaving so we want to take this farther. Driving is hazardous and damaging our cars, besides looking like a trashy county.

  • Accessiblity for state parks
Loving nature has always been an important part of my life. But now that I am in a wheelchair at the age of 18, needing to be amongst nature is vital to my physical and mental health. Nature provides JOY, RESPITE, and PEACE to many who seek out its beauty. Individuals with physical disabilities, such as myself, don't always have access to their state or national parks due to the lack of ACCESSIBILITY for all state and national parks. I would like to appeal to all physically challenged individuals and those who care about them to sign this petition.

  • Help Keep Warwick Neck kids safe!
Our Neighborhood over the past several years has had many delivery trucks take down our power lines to our homes, take out our trees, driving on our lawns to bypass opposite traffic, speeding, drag racing and throwing litter on our lawns. This needs to stop! We have asked to have speed bumps put in place and police presence. The cost of the police presence each day and the cost of the speed bumps eventually cost more in the end than actually having a road paved. This is one great reason as to why the City Of Warwick should take over the entrance to the club (Chatfield Street) and keep its taxpayers and their families safe! On Clifton Ave alone, there are 8 children who can't ride their bikes, play basketball, or even go for a walk because the traffic is out of control! I have spoken to Joe Noel on many occasions and he is willing to gift the road to the city. Let's sign this and get the correct street paved and taken over by the city! We pay enough in taxes to live in Warwick, let's be able to enjoy it at least!
