"Senior Safety @ The Curve"We are a large mobile home senior community without safe and easy access in and out on Route 9. The curve in the highway makes it very hard to safely exit either north or south. A traffic light would be a Godsend. Safely getting out prevents close calls for everyone. Make Garden Lake Community a "safety zone" for all.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by JOHN GRIECO

BasketBall Court at Marshbank Park!To bring those who love to play basketball but don’t have a place to play to a place where they can form great friendships and connections they never thought they could, and to shine a light on an issue that is talked about but never acted upon; the fact of how more and more younger people are choosing video games and smartphones over going outside and exercising and having fun with friends to avoid human interaction. Exercise is a reason for academic success also, and it’s fading away in today’s youth. Something as small as a basketball court can change that.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brandon Edwards

Build an overpass at the Route 50/Route 98 intersectionIn recent events, a father and daughter both lost their lives at the same intersection many others have. The amount of accidents at this intersection tells me the answer isn’t in the changes that have been made in the past. Stop lights have been put up. Flashing lights warning drivers of the stop lights have been put up. Still lives are lost. Families are destroyed. With an overpass built, this will eliminate the lights. Eliminate vehicles crossing multiple lanes in order to get to their destination.21 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Angie McCormick

Paving Bay Village LaneWe homeowners of Bay Village Lane in Moncks Corner, SC have a maintenance agreement in place. However, we have two parcels on the left and right of the entrance to Bay Village Lane that access our road. These two parcels to the right and left of our entrance cause damage to our road and don't help with maintenance. We feel that if we have our road paved and switched to a public road, this will cause less frustration for homeowners.25 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Megan

Fix the MTAI ride the subways regularly. For our streets to be better places to walk and bike and live, better subways are essential.74 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jeff Blum

Greenway Pedestrian Bridge Over Western AvenueFranklin Brown (14) on May 24, 2013, attempted to cross Western Avenue and was struck and killed by a large moving van. Our community would love to see the new Greenway Pedestrian Bridge over Western Avenue memorialized in Franklin’s name in the hopes of persuading other children and adults to take the extra time to use the overpass safely and not try to beat traffic crossing the 5-lane road.150 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Samantha Ann Brown

Fix ADA access to Pink Triangle Park, Calm 17th, and make Castro & Market more safeMarket Street is the most dangerous street in our neighborhood. Our streets should be safe for people of all ages and abilities. Also, Pink Triangle Park is an international tourist destination and a source of local LGBT pride and history. When I took my father, who travels by wheelchair to visit the park, I was shocked by the lack of access. With this tunnel project, now is the time to correct his poorly designed intersection at the heart of our neighborhood.50 of 100 SignaturesCreated by matt brezina

We want internet service in our areaGood morning, We have spent many hours trying to get our local providers to give us internet service, but we have not been successful. We live at 2609 Branch Road, Raleigh NC 27610. Spectrum is the cable provider and AT&T the phone service and DSL providers. AT&T refuses because their lines are old and crappy and won't hold the DSL signal, so they now refuse to give us service saying we would take away from others instead of saying it would cost them too much to repair their crappy lines. Spectrum refuses to run line saying it is not cost effective to provide our few homes and businesses service even though they are the "only" provider allowed in our area. Other service providers have told us repeatedly, Spectrum is your provider and it is their area. At the end of the day, we pay hundreds of dollars to Version to get 1 Meg service and it is slightly better than dial up. If providers can get 10-15 Meg service to mountain tops, why can't they get it to us being 9 miles from downtown Raleigh. These greedy companies will take the gravy and screw the rest of us were it would cost them a little to get us service and not give them huge profits. If they are the chosen provider, then they should be made to provide to everyone! thank you, Randy and Jo Ann Egland Castlewick Farms 2609 Branch Road Raleigh, NC 27610 919-264-32001 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Randy Egland

Housing solution for Puerto Rican American evacueesWe Unite Organizations, Inc under our humanitarian program Human Rights Festival has been at the forefront of the battle for the humane and dignified treatment of Puerto Rican American evacuees residing stateside. We have worked with the population daily providing hands on humanitarian aide and in the areas of advocating. An end to the Transitional Shelter Assistance is looming, as the final date is June 30th and legislation has been introduced to provide a more permanent solution for the evacuees nationwide. The Disaster Housing Assistance Program normally initiated by FEMA and administered by H.U.D has been denied for the less the 2,500 people remaining on TSA vouchers. This legislation is the ONLY solution left to this humanitarian crisis. The evacuee population has no collective voice as they reside in different states around the nation. We ask the American people to collectively raise their voice in the disaster victims behalf.392 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Lauren Piraino

Say NO to a very bad plan for Six Corners.A senior building in this location would not spur economic development in this area or attract the type of retailers we wish to bring here. We support Senior Citizen housing but this is the wrong time and place for this. In areas that are struggling with economic development, you bring in younger generations who have disposable income and no children; who will also walk to the trains and use public transportation; who will shop, eat and play in our community and then hopefully years later plant their roots in a nearby home to raise their families. Instead, Arena wants to put 10 floors of Seniors with MARKET RATE (no Affordable housing), and also assisted living and Dementia floors (a Nursing home). Alderman Arena, Ryan Companies US and Clark Street Real Estate will host a community meeting on this proposal at 6:30 pm Thursday, June 21, at Filament Theatre, 4041 N. Milwaukee.546 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Mark Johnson

Retain Speed Bumps in Plantation AcresSpeed bumps have been removed from the streets of Plantation Acres for repaving. A significant increase in speeding vehicles has occurred which endangers the residents and pets or our neighborhood. With this petition we, the residents, urge the City of Plantation to ensure the speed bumps are reinstalled as quickly as possible.78 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Garry Kravit

Keep the Mills Branch pool open till 9:00 or 10:00 pmI am so tired of seeing our pool time dwindling down, from 10:00 PM to 7:50 PM. The Mills Branch pool used to be open till 10 PM allowing all those people that worked late hours to come enjoy the pool, lets get our pool time back.
