There is nothing ethical about forcing a cancer-stricken woman to listen to the heartbeat of the child she must abort to save her own life.

SCU already provides this benefit to SCU employees as they are required to by law...this needs to be expanded to the students too. The pill, patch or ring (methods that are likely primary choices for college-aged women) can cost as much as $1,200 a year without insurance. Support this for any of the following reasons SCU Vision statement "Santa Clara University will educate citizens and leaders of competence, conscience, and compassion and cultivate knowledge and faith to build a more humane, just, and sustainable world." Their values include “a community that is enriched by people of different backgrounds...and welcoming and respecting other religious and philosophical traditions.." This should include allowing their female students the right to decide and have access to birth control if they chose to. 1. Birth control saves medical cost (source NPR) 2. Student pick a university based on the quality of the education..Religious views of your university should not prevent a student from accessing to contraceptives if it is inline with their individual religious views 3. This is the majority view: Sixty-seven percent support giving contraceptives to students, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll. 4. SCU is still welcome to promote abstinence and other religious views related to this topic to their student body

Are we going to tolerate the denigrating language that Rush Limbaugh uses to describe women to a national audience of millions every day? This crosses every line beyond our healthy national debates on the freedom of religion and access to contraception. Say NO to Clear Channel Communications and other radio stations that have given this woman-hating man his platform for too long.

O'Rielly' attack on Sandra was close to Rush's minus the "slut" and prostitute comments.. Bill said why should we pay for her activities. Watch and read his comments,

Rush Limbaugh has gone too far this time. His vicious personal attack on Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke was beyond over the top, and more than simply distasteful; it was appalling, offensive, and even obscene. Suggesting that she has so much sex that he is surprised she can walk straight borders on pornographic. Suggesting that she should be required to record personal intimate moments so the entire nation can watch them is atrocious. Limbaugh's rant is an affront to civilized society and an outright attack on all women. While his First Amendment right to freedom of speech is to be respected, he must learn that there are consequences for his deviant behavior. Please, tell Netflix that if they continue to support Mr. Limbaugh by way of advertising on his radio show, that they will lose your business. It is time for us to stop sitting on our hands and fight for our nation and its people!

We want WKBN Radio in Youngstown, Ohio to remove the Rush Limbaugh show from their programming for his outrageous attack on a woman who wanted to testify in Congress.

Oklahoma's proposed "personhood" bill

The Colorado House of Representatives is writing a First Degree Murder Bill of an Unborn Child sponsored by Representative Joshi. The language of the Bill uses the terminology of Unlawful Termination of A Pregnancy and is broadly written without any reference to the stage of the fetus whether at conception or at so called "quick". This law is an attempt to give "legal status" to a fetus. I'm calling on women of the State of Colorado to question this fetal homicide law. Should the State be enacting criminal laws to protect a fetus? Wasn't Roe v. Wade a decision to protect a women's right to choose. If we allow these laws to be passed by the General Assembly where do they end and to what purpose do they serve? To protect women or protect a fetus which has no legal rights?

Rush Limbaugh's reprehensible attack on Sandra Fluke, the college student who spoke to Congress about women's reproductive rights, calling her a slut and a prostitute and asking her to make a sex video, should be the end of his on-air career. Let's convince KGVO to kick him off the air in Missoula.

Rush Limbaugh's radio show is a part of the Clear Channel lineup. Let's send a message to them that no longer can they allow Rush Limbaugh the opportunity to spew hateful and sometimes derogatory comments. Sign the petition and help get this done.

We need to stop the abortion law from going into effect. In its present state, a doctor can be charged legally for causing the death of a fetus that is older than 22 weeks, if it dies from his treatment to cure and help the mother. We need to take this clause out so doctors can treat patients without fear of reprisal.
