• GUNS
Not personally but personal enough that when you hear about children besides adults being murdered by an insane person with gun to want this to stop. If you hunt find 1 riffle show proof that you have the license to hunt. Personal I'm not sure of that because people are selling the guns to anyone just to have money in their pocket. Killings must stop and guns are the major weapon we need HELP!!

  • Responsive/Responsible Government
The State of Oklahoma is about to launch a new anti-abortion offensive at a significant cost to Oklahoma taxpayers despite the fact that these measures have been repeatedly struck down by the Courts. Instead of focusing on taking away a woman's basic right to decide her health issues for herself, I truly believe our tax dollars would be better spent ensuring that the state funds education AND accept the federal money offered to ensure the health of those that are already born.

  • Fire Ellen Golombek of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment is a complete mess and inept. People cannot get through to customer service even after calling for hours and days. This problem has been completely ignored by the Executive Director, Ellen Golombek and Governor Hickenlooper.

  • Birth Control or Paid Maternity Leave
The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 allows for unpaid leave up to 12 weeks. An amendment could integrate this with the Affordable care act allowing for a choice between supporting one of two programs. If a business or religious institution opts out of providing birth control through their medical coverage they should provide full paid maternity leave.

  • Resolving the Pro-Life/Pro-Choice Issue
A stance on the pro-life / pro-choice debates that frees our nation then to be devoted to issues that can more readily be solved like jobs and the economy. THIS IS PRO-LABOR LEGISLATION, think of it mechanically as like a flywheel governor on the free trade process to keep it from spinning out-of-control.

  • Cathrynn Brown Should Resign Immediately
Cathrynn Brown sponsored a bill that attacks victims of sexual assault by threatening prison if they abort a fetus conceived through rape. Brown, a Carlsbad resident and a board member of the Carlsbad Right to Life organization, conceded her bill was poorly written. She said her intent was not to charge incest or rape victims with a felony if they terminate their pregnancy. "I missed this one," she said, explaining that when she reviewed the draft of HER bill, she missed the language problems that led to misinterpretation of her bill. An attorney, Brown said her practice is to edit a bill carefully before releasing it. This time, a drafting error occurred and she was not diligent enough so it got through, she said.

  • Equality for Women
Women do not have the same rights as men in the Military. We should be able to get whatever position we want as long as we earn it just like men. It is unfair and there reasoning is because we are untrustworthy and can't cover the men. This should not be an opinion but a fact that women can be just as successful as men in the Military. I do not want to compare it to racism, but it is very similar! Women should have equal rights and gender bans in the Military should be non existent.

  • Tell Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli: Letting Bosses Deny Women Birth Control isn’t a Ci...
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is far out of the mainstream when it comes to women’s health. His entire career has been an exercise in trying to reduce and deny women access to care. He has co-sponsored “personhood” measures that would give full legal rights to fertilized eggs, supported defunding Planned Parenthood, and was the first attorney general to file a lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act (ACA) — on the same day the bill was signed into law. Now, he’s trying to find ways to deny women access to birth control by letting your boss decide whether you get coverage through the ACA. What’s outrageous is that he is invoking the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to support his position — saying that employers who want to deny women access to birth control should engage in civil disobedience. In fact, Dr. King was among the first recipients of Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award, and he said of health care inequality: “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” Of course, Dr. King’s words are the opposite of what AG Cuccinelli supports. Nearly 1.4 million women in Virginia are potentially at risk of losing coverage if Cuccinelli has his way.

  • Cathrynn Brown: Withdraw Your Bill & RESIGN NOW! Co-Sponsors Explain Your Actions!
HB 206, introduced at the NM Legislature by NM Rep. Cathrynn Brown (R) would seek to force women to carry to term a fetus as a result of rape or incest. Now, Cathrynn Brown is trying to back-track and say the bill was a mistake. I DON'T BUY THAT. Her bill was an addition to current statutes of just 41 words, and Rep. Brown is a lawyer trained to read complex documents. Plus she had 9 proofreaders in her co-sponsors! I worked at a Rape Crisis Center all through law school and it is so clear to me that she has no experience in assisting rape victims, but she is again failing to stand up for NM women. Cathrynn Brown must withdraw the bill & RESIGN NOW! We are also asking the following co-sponsors to withdraw the legislation and explain their actions: Reps. Anna M. Crook, Candy Spence Ezzell, Diane Miller Hamilton, Jane E. Powdrell-Culbert, Sharon Clahchischilliage, Nora Espinoza, Kelly Fajardo, Yvette Herrell and Monica Youngblood.
