As an infant brought to term by a teenager who dumped me on my grandparents and a father who didn't want to be responsible for me, I grew up resented, rejected, neglected and then humiliated, insulted, demeaned, beaten and emotionally abused by my stepfather and mother. All these poliicians who seem to care so much about my getting here, don't seem to care one whit about me, and others like me, once we get there. I grew up never having once been kissed or hugged by a parent. My entire life was spent feeling worthless and trying to prove I deserved to be here. I have had two failed marriages, attempted suicide and been seen by many psychiatrists and psychologists over the years. Until all orphanges are closed, all foster children are adopted and all babies born with the addictions and diseases of their parents have good homes, a good education, good employment and the love and encouragement of their own caring, personal families who raise them, allow those of us who have no control over being brought to Earth by those who lust but are not prepared to bring children into the world to not endure the lifelong hardships, rejection and feelings of worthlessness that makes of our lives a living Hell.

Stopping violence against women worldwide, but especially in Florida So many women are smuggled in through Florida to be used as unpaid worker and or sex slaves yearly, that the numbers are embarassing. Stop this violence against women.

Eight years ago I could not get Human Resources, Advocate Agencies, Representative at the local, state or national level, to hear my plea for help against a sexual predator.

Young women attending Colorado's institutes of higher education are particularly vulnerable to assault including rape. The legislation regarding on-campus CCW bans has brought stark and scary light to this situation. I attended CU Boulder where this issue was a sizeable concern and risk for women. One generation later, as my own daughter prepares to attend college, I don't see any appreciable changes to made women safer on campus.

The "radical Republicans" that control this state can use their bias beliefs to make abortion illegal in North Dakota. This will NOT stop abortion! By making it illegal, it will cause the poor to "go back in time" to back-alley, coat hanger abortions. Many women will die; and their blood will be on YOUR HANDS, and the Republican controlled, non-caring about the poor, government of North Dakota. Also, this law was a "cheap shot" at by-passing the Constitutional Right to a safe, legal, abortion. (Roe v. Wade).

Section 5 of House Bill 122 is the "Ultrasound Requirement". Forcing women to be subjected to an unwanted and unnecessary ultrasound, causing undue financial hardship. This bill in its entirety assumes that the women seeking treatment is oblivious to what she is doing, or it is an impulsive act. Leave medical treatment choices to doctors and women.

Women are lawfully entitled to equal wages.

One in three women as well as many men in the Coast Guard are going to fall victim of sexual assault and rape. We had enough of these attacks against our shipmates. Stand with members and veterans of the United States Coast Guard as we work towards eliminating sexual violence in the U.S Coast Guard.

On Friday, March 1, Celeste Greig, head of the California Republican Assembly, told the media that pregnancies by rape are rare "because it's an act of violence, because the body is traumatized." Ironically, she said this while criticizing former Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin for his comments last fall about "legitimate rape." I started this petition because I am disgusted by scientifically illiterate Republican leaders attempting to defend rape related anti-choice policies. These uneducated and fanatical politicians attempt to minimize the horrific consequences of rape in order to pursue a twisted political agenda and in so doing degrade women. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, but not to their own facts. Rapes cause pregnancy. Celeste Greig (and other factually challenged politicians) need to resign from their high profile political positions so policy can be made based on science, not ideology.

New York is the birthplace of women's rights. Yet 165 years later, the dreams of the Seneca Falls Convention remain out of reach for millions of mothers, daughters and sisters in our state. Women earn $11,000 less, on average, then their male counterparts, and are twice as likely to become single parents living in poverty. It is time for New York to lead again! Governor Cuomo has issued a clarion call for equality: Equal Work. Equal Pay. Equal Choice. Equal Chance. Equal Rights. His 10-point Women’s Equality Agenda proposes to make fairness a reality for the women of New York. It addresses a wide array of barriers facing women, including restrictions on access to reproductive health care; income inequality; discrimination based on pregnancy and family status, source of income, and domestic violence; and the practice of human trafficking, among others. We, the undersigned, wish to thank and encourage Representative Tom Reed to continue his bipartisan efforts to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act, along with the enactment of the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act and the Campus Safety Act. We thank the Representative for his efforts to champion bipartisan support for the VAWA and encourage him to lead the efforts to pass a more inclusive VAWA in the House; a House act similar to the Senate version would provide protections to undocumented immigrants, Native Americans, and same-sex couples. These acts, if passed, will prove to be instrumental tools in the fight against domestic violence and other intimate forms of violence. The act provides victims of domestic abuse with a refuge from violence through crisis centers, hotlines, violence prevention programs, and other essential services. We also urge the Representative to act quickly and determinedly as the act is of an urgent nature. Failure to pass the legislation quickly, increases the risk of sexual violence on campus and cuts off survivors from vital resources. If the Violence Against Women Act (S. 1925) is not passed in the early days of this congressional session, 200,000 survivors could lose critical legal, and in many cases, life saving, services and protections.

This is cruel & inhumane treatment of horses. Articles that I've read state that a lot of these slaughtered animals are young. Since this meat is going to be "exported internationally", there's no guarantee the meat won't be used for human consumption.
